There is nothing when you look at this today where you think Fulham are going to come away with three points.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

Barnsley go to their bench for the first time this afternoon.

Young midfielder Matty Wolfe makes way for Romal Palmer.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 66 mins

Nice feet from Amine Bassi on the halfway line and Fulham skipper Tim Ream sends him crashing to the ground.

The American goes into the book.

  6. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Fulham get in down their right and Harry Wilson pulls it back for Bobby Decordova Reid.

He tries to wrap his foot around it from 18 yards but lashes it over the crossbar.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 61 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Might be a BIT early for timewasting.

Barnsley goalscorer Carlton Morris is in the book for stopping Fulham goalkeeper Marek Rodak taking a free-kick in the area.

  8. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Bit of an aside but the grass on the pitch at Oakwell is really quite long.

The Fulham coaching staff have voiced their unhappiness at the condition of the playing surface and if this stays as it is I would imagine they'll have plenty to say after the game.

Barnsley are having to soak up the pressure now.

The league leaders have not lost in the league this year.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 55 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Liam Kitching is booked for a foul on Neco Williams as he looked to advance into the Barnsley penalty area.

Harry Wilson's free-kick is straight into the wall.

  11. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Bobby Decordova Reid is allowed to progress down the Fulham left basically unchecked and he feeds Aleksandar Mitrovic in the area.

The Serb's strike is deflected behind for a corner and, from the resultant set-piece, Neco Williams sends a volley at goal that is cleared way.

  12. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Nice play from Fulham opens up a shooting chance on the edge of the area.

Fabio Carvalho takes it on when Aleksandar Mitrovic was maybe slightly better placed and the 35-goal Serb is not best pleased.

There was drama aplenty at The Hawthorns on Friday night as West Brom scored twice in 84 seconds as they came back from 2-0 down to draw with Huddersfield.

England keeper Sam Johnstone's clearance was blocked into the net by Danny Ward to gift the Terriers the lead.

And Ward swept home a second for Huddersfield after Johnstone could only parry Lewis O'Brien's shot.

However, Karlan Grant slotted home from the penalty spot after Sorba Thomas was penalised for a high boot on Alex Mowatt before Andy Carroll headed in his first Baggies goal to level the game at 2-2.

Grant then struck the bar for Albion and Carroll cleared off the line at the other end in a frantic finale.

The point moved Huddersfield back up to second before this afternoon's games.

Barnsley have got grounds now to be positive about the second half. They have gone 1-0 up and they need to be savvy and kill the game.

I am hopeful about this today. Barnsley need to cut out the mistakes, get in Fulham's faces and they will give you a chance.

Fulham haven't been fantastic on this showing.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2022

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

    Well.

Championship leaders Fulham have had the better of it but Carlton Morris' penalty has the strugglers in front at the break.

The home side nearly made it 2-0 right on half-time but Tim Ream cleared a Morris effort off the line.

  17. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Fulham

Aleksandar Mitrovic sends a header just past the post as the away side nearly level matters immediately.

He should have done better in truth.

    DESPATCHED!

Carlton Morris leathers his spot-kick pretty much straight down the middle.

I've got to say I'm not sure it should have been a penalty to be honest, I think Morris more slipped than was fouled but it matters not and the Tykes lead!

Fulham will give you a chance. Tosin Adarabioyo dwelt on the ball and Carlton Morris robbed it, was in on goal and was given a little tug.

Barnsley have been due a bit of luck.
