Although they have not made any clear cut chances Middlesbrough, they will be relatively pleased - by this time against Leeds Spurs were 3-0 up, so they have a decent foundation in the game.

Well, we've played almost half an hour and we've had a total of one solitary shot on goal.

  3. CLOSE!published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

    Peterborough 0-0 Man City

Peterborough almost take a shock lead.

The side who are bottom of the Championship cause the Premier League leaders an issue when they launch a long throw which falls for Sammie Szmodics, but he cannot get a proper connection on it and scuffs wide.

It is worth the risk from Ryan Sessegnon making those runs, although they have come to nothing so far. The Middlesbrough players need to settle down, maybe a few nerves.

Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias did come off for City, by the way.

They didn't just put two extra men on after playing so badly in that first half.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

A first half with little real action. Stoke have played well.

  10. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Stoke

The game has come to life. Relatively. Stoke's Josh Tymon is free on the left, he cuts inside and then drags a shot dreadfully wide.

Noel Gallagher is among the travelling City supporters to Peterborough.

A young lad has spotted him and comes over for a selfie and Noel obliges.

    As you were.

  12. Postpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Stoke

The closest thing to a chance in this half as Michael Olise feeds Jean-Philippe Mateta in the box but the striker stumbles as he tries to get it under control and his effort is blocked.

  13. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

  14. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

Wonderful flick by Jean-Philippe Mateta to turn the ball past James Chester in the box, nutmeg, but the defender recovers to win the ball.

  15. 'Spurs are well balanced'published at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Tottenham

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Spurs look well balanced, apart from the little blip against Burnley it has been better from them. Antonio Conte is a winner, a top manager, full of enthusiasm and the demands he puts on them.

That move was wing-back to wing-back - Conte will have enjoyed seeing that. In this system you need end product from your wide areas.

A replay of that incident shows Taylor Harwood-Bellis pulled his leg away at the last second and Michael Olise went down thinking it was still there.

  17. Postpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Stoke

That's a big moment. Michael Olise shows some lovely footwork on the right and cuts into the box. He goes down. No penalty. There must not have been contact on the tackle.

Olise does the same move again and loses the ball.

  18. CLOSE!published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Tottenham

Still goalless in this one but Ryan Sessegnon makes a marauding run forward and nearly finds Harry Kane for an easy finish, but Boro defender Dael Fry makes a vital interception.

  19. Postpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2022

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Stoke

No shots on target yet, the two keepers and a couple of forwards are the only players to have fewer than 10 touches.

Wilfried Zaha is offside as he runs onto a through ball. He cuts in and loses the ball and the flag goes up.

    Danny Murphy

Jonny Howson has a really important role, screening and helping his defenders out with the ball into Harry Kane and Son Heung-min running beyond him. We saw Kane play so well against City doing that, Howson will have to keep an eye on him.
