Chelsea goalscorer Guro Reiten tells Sky Sports: "That was a lot of fun. We can talk about a perfect start to the game, scoring three goals within the first seven minutes. Perfect.

"We didn't play Wednesday because the game was called off so were looking forward to this game. We are coming to the end of the season and it is all or nothing.

"I waited for that free-kick and it was a good one. I was happy it went in.

"Top is where we want to be, we know we have to win every single game. Focus on the job and let's see. We make six subs, Lauren James comes on for her first goal, so we just want to continue."

  3. 'I want to see us improving'published at 17:15 British Summer Time 27 March 2022

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes tells Sky Sports: "Guro Reiten is a dream to coach with her infectious personality. She trained out of this world yesterday. We were absolutely superb today. Every player loves tiki-taka football, we did not want the game to end.

"Something we demand daily and I could see this result coming from the training. I want to keep improving on performances and the team has so much flexibility, I can do so much with them because they are intelligent.

"Lauren James is an unbelievable talent and has come into this environment with some injury, we have had to get it right. She wants to play more but a player of her age needs a gradual approach to the top.

"We are used to being in this position but we know the type of games coming up. I am not bothered about the result but I want to see us improving.

"I cried this morning being separated from my boy. The guilt of being parents and the best at our jobs.

"We were so clinical, so ruthless and it is driving standards in training."

It us fantastic for Chelsea; exactly what they wanted. They wanted the goals, they wanted the points, and they achieved that.

What a brilliant start; they were relentless, they didn't back down and kept pushing. Leicester showed a lot more aggression second half; it was a much, much improved performance.

They are a new side; their priority is to stay up.
