    Oh my word!

Two goals in two minutes have transformed this match!

Peterborough go 3-1 ahead and Jack Marriott scores a superb solo effort.

He picks up the ball on the left flank for the visitors and then cuts inside and past Dion Sanderson to the edge of the penalty area before unleashing an unstoppable right-foot shot into the top right corner.

Keiren Westwood had no chance with that!.

Here we go then for the restart....

So as it stands this scoreline would not be enough to lift QPR back into the play-off places.

They would stay in seventh a point behind both Blackburn and Sheffield United in sixth and fifth respectively.

Peterborough will move a point closer to second-from-bottom Derby County but would still be nine points adrift of safety with a draw.

Incentives aplenty then when we resume for the second half.

Eight Championship fixtures took place on Saturday and there were some potentially pivotal results in the promotion and survival fights among them.

Bournemouth strengthened their grip on second place as they beat fellow automatic promotion challengers Huddersfield Town 3-0.

Luton Town climbed up to third place with a handsome 3-1 win at Hull City, while Sheffield United climbed into the top six with a 2-0 win over Barnsley that dented the Tykes' survival hopes.

That defeat was compounded by a 1-0 win for Reading against out-of-form Blackburn courtesy of Josh Laurent's eye-catching goal while the play-off hopes of Millwall and West Brom were derailed by a defeat at Stoke and a draw at Bristol City respectively.

Derby County just about kept their survival fight alive with a 1-1 home draw against Coventry City.
