GOAL - Southampton 0-5 Chelseapublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 9 April 2022

    Timo Werner (49 mins)

    That didn't take long.

Marcos Alonso feeds in N'Golo Kante. He has SO much space in the middle and Timo Werner is completely unmarked to his left.

Kante has a go himself first - attempting to chip it over Fraser Forster - and it rebounds back to Werner to tap into an empty net.

    Watford 0-1 Leeds

A bright start for Watford in the second half as Emmanuel Dennis' cross from the left bounces off Luke Ayling for a corner.

Kiko Femenia swings the set-piece right under the crossbar and Moussa Sissoko tries to get his head to it, under pressure from Illan Meslier, but the referee says the last touch was off Sissoko for a goal kick.

Amadeo: There is no way the VAR referee can see the lines as the Brighton keeper is obscuring his defenders’ bodies. No camera angle but they decided it is offside. Interesting to see them explain how they reached the decision

Nick: There was no clear angle showing offside. Bodies were too tightly bunched. No definative camera shot showing an offside. So after close to 5 minutes they just made a guess and went with overruling the on field decision and ruling out the goal. Ridiculous.

Ridiculously long VAR decision. Surely if it's not obvious the goal should stand. Gotta feel for Arsenal here.

  14. 'Leeds fully in control'published at 15:54 British Summer Time 9 April 2022

    HT: Watford 0-1 Leeds

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Leeds have played some good football at times, they are fully in control. The only way you can see Watford scoring is from a set play; Leeds are confident.

Watford just get the ball forward when they can; there is no passing, no interaction, no patterns of play. Only a lack of concentration will undo them.

For an emotional fella, Arteta's Arsenal produces surprisingly insipid, bland football.

For me, that was obvious two and a half minutes ago.

Four minutes that took. That is outrageously long to make a decision.

That's the end of the half too. A few players are frustrated the added time hasn't been tallied up due to that lengthy VAR check.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 9 April 2022

    Watford 0-1 Leeds

Leeds taking a big step towards Premier League survival if it stays this way.

Raphinha's superb strike from 20 yards out gave Leeds the lead and Watford boss Roy Hodgson will be wanting to see a lot more from his side, yet to really test Illan Meslier.

Half time, Leeds a goal up.
