Port Vale are going to use every opportunity to slow the game down now.

They are nullifying the threat at the minute.

We just need that little bit of luck and that’s what it is at this stage, not necessarily a good bit of play, just a bit of luck to get back into it but it’s not going to be easy.

We're into the final 10 minutes and Nigel Clough is running out of options, Lucas Akins gives Mansfield another option up front and this really is the last roll of the dice.

But Port Vale have the ball again, they've settled down after that brief period of Mansfield pressure.

Mansfield force another corner.

It's headed away and Port Vale have defended these set plays brilliantly today.

Lucas Akins is coming on for Stephen Quinn for the Stags.

Kian Harratt's shift has come to an end - he's hit the post, scored and had a second disallowed.

He's replaced by Jamie Proctor, who joins James Wilson up front.

It just lifts the players and the fans.

Aidan Stone makes a big save for Port Vale!

It's lovely from Mansfield, they work the ball into the feet of George Maris, who's lay-off is taken on and struck by Rhys Oates.

The shot takes a big deflection and the goalie has to leap across to make a a great save and turn it behind for a corner.

Oates then sends another shot goalwards from far out on the right hand side but it goes wide.

This is better from Mansfield.

Conrad Chircop: Watching as a neutral. The football is decent and the vocal support from both sides is great! Consider how close these two sides finished in the table.

Small margins, Conrad, but no-one can argue that Port Vale have been the better here so far...

Vale have it in the net again but substitute Harry Charsley is clearly offside.

That's two offside goals for Port Vale now in the second half, this one could be over.

Kian Harratt is just the wrong side of the defender.

He could have put the game out of sight.

Port Vale have the ball in the net for a third time and it's Kian Harratt again but the linesman's flag is quickly raised.

Mal Benning's low corner is met by James Wilson who sends the shot goalwards.

Nathan Bishop makes the save but can't hold on to it and it's bundled in by the offside Harratt. Mansfield survive this one.

Both sides make a change as Harry Charsley comes on for Jake Taylor for Vale and Matty Longstaff is replaced by George Maris for Mansfield.

Mansfield are trying to make something happen. Substitute George Lapslie wins the ball in midfield and tries to play Rhys Oates in behind but the pass is overhit.

They're just missing that quality in the final third.

There could be a problem for Port Vale, James Wilson looks to be holding his left hamstring. He plays on for now but it's one to keep an eye on.

We have got the extra man and sometimes that means you rush to get it forward but we don’t have to do that.

Don’t be so anxious. As the game goes on you can't keep looking at the clock saying we're nearly there, we have to keep pushing Mansfield back.

Mansfield push up and Jordan Bowery sends a cross in but it's headed away.

The Stags win a corner and this is a real opportunity for them to get back into this game, they've scored 12 goals from corners.

This one is very poor but Stephen McLaughlin is alive to the second ball, wrapping his left foot around the ball and sending it just wide.

The noise from the Mansfield Town end has gone up a few notches in the past few minutes.

They are wiling something to happen, but the chances remain few and far between.

Port Vale have really exploited the space left in the wide areas by Mansfield on the big Wembley pitch.

Another long ball forward finds James Gibbons out on the right, who passes to Kian Harratt but the Stags defenders deal with it.

Mansfield have a real problem here because they have to attack but they're leaving themselves exposed to counter-attacks.

It's really good play. They’re passing it around and not forcing things.

Jake Taylor’s eyes light up, he catches it well but it’s just the wrong side of the post.

Mansfield are rocking. Vale have complete dominance.

If we get one more goal they’re done.

Port Vale are picking up every second ball after each cross is headed out.

One falls nicely for Jake Taylor, who catches it on the volley and sends it narrowly wide.

Jake Taylor has impressed in just his fifth start of the season, as he sends a cross into the box which fails to find a team-mate.

It’s a difficult one. You do want to give it the best you can but you don’t want to get too excited and burn out.

They need to make sure the tempo doesn't completely leave the game because that'll suit Port Vale.

They need to leave everything out there and hopefully we’ll get back into this game.

It has been a game of contrasting fortunes so far - Port Vale have been clinical and Mansfield wasteful. They've really rued those missed chances by Jamie Murphy and Rhys Oates.

They will have more chances.
