Huddersfield cough up possession again, this time a set-piece failing to find a team-mate.

James Garner then follows suit with a misplaced, overhit whack of his own and Huddersfield get the ball back.

It's cooled temperature wise, but the Forest fans are still bouncing and singing.

Huddersfield can't find a rhythm amid the hurly-burly of midfield, as Forest's press keeps them at bay.

Brennan Johnson gets down the right for Forest, and seeks to coast beyond Levi Colwill into the box, but the Chelsea loanee does well to block his progress.

Forest force a save from Lee Nicholls, as Ryan Yates lets fly from 25 yards, but it's an effort which lacks legs and is easily claimed.

    Not his fiercest strike.

Danel Sinani wins a free-kick from an over-eager Ryan Yates, and Huddersfield get the ball forward.

Forest clear the initial cross, and Brice Samba takes the second comfortably.

Intent shown by Town early on.

I think he's got to do something pretty soon, Carlos Corberan. This right hand side has been pretty invisible and needs addressing.

Maybe switch Sorba Thomas and let him get some balls into the box on his right foot.

Paul: Going to be a long season next season for whichever of these two get to the Premier League. Both are bang average really and it took an own goal for Forest to get the lead in a game they’ve not looked like scoring themselves in otherwise.

Rachel: Is there a Stuart Broad cam?!

England bowler Stuart Broad was certainly spotted by the cameras *before* the game. We'll keep an eye out...

If I didn't know better, you would have said Huddersfield had come to play for penalties. They haven't created anything other than a few times on the break.

Huddersfield need to do something now after that goal for Nottingham Forest.

You hope Forest don't sit back on that now. I doubt they will, because they haven't all season under Steve Cooper.

Forest were the favourites going into this game and will be even more so now they lead at the break but Huddersfield didn't finish third in the table by chance.

    Boss Carlos Corberan won't panic.

Yes, the Reds had more of the ball but prior to that Levi Colwill goal the majority of their possession had come in areas where Town were content for them to have the ball.

The Terriers have carried a threat on the break when they have managed to get Sorba Thomas or Danny Ward running in space.

For Forest it's now a case of how well they can handle the pressure. They blew a 3-1 aggregate lead with 45 minutes remaining in the second leg of their semi-final against Sheffield United and gaffer Steve Cooper will want to see his charges keep their foot down after the break.

The Premier League could be 45 minutes away.

The caustic stench of a pyro hangs in the Wembley air here, as Forest's supporters celebrate a successful first 45 minutes in their first taste of a play-off final.

Town fans have been full of voice throughout, and they'll be needed, as their team attack their end of the ground in the second-half.

Plenty have sloped off to the various bars and kiosks to refresh after that half of football, which while not always packed with quality, was certainly packed with drama, incident and tension.

That was an exciting first 45 minutes.

It was a bit cagey to start with, but they have both gone at it. Forest had the ball a lot that half, controlled the game, been patient and were probing.

They got a bit of luck with the goal, but you need that in big games.

Big moment at the end of the first-half then at Wembley, as Levi Colwill's own goal steers Nottingham Forest into a lead against Huddersfield.

Both sides had their moments of supremacy in that opening 45, while chances were fairly few and far between.

When it mattered, James Garner came up with a big play to curl that ball in, and Colwill's touch proved key.

    One minute of added time.

How much of a lift is that for Forest? How crushing for Town?

Still plenty of football to be played. But the red and white scarves are spinning right now at the Forest end.

James Garner got on the ball in a good area and he has fizzed in a ball with dip and swerve. In doing that Levi Colwill tried to get there first and put it beyond Lee Nicholls.

Well, that changes the half-time teamtalks...

You felt that James Garner would be at the heart of anything that Forest created and so it has proved.

Huddersfield had not put a foot wrong defensively until Levi Colwill's misfortune there.

The Terriers were just starting to get a foothold in the match but now they need to clear their heads and regroup.

Levi Colwill can't believe what's happened - a real shame. It's a good ball into the box, and it's just come off his knee.

Forest get the breakthrough having been under pressure, and it's an own-goal from Levi Colwill that gives them the lead.

It came from Keinan Davis' cut back to James Garner, who curled into the box.

Ryan Yates was chasing along with Colwill, and it was the Town defender who got the decisive touch, albeit unwittingly.

Lewis O'Brien is taking the game by the scruff of the neck for Huddersfield with an all action display.

He runs to the right corner to keep possession and is unlucky not to launch another attack as Forest eventually smuggle it out for a goal kick.

The momentum has certainly swung to the Terriers of late, as we head to half-time.

Danny Ward does brilliantly to shrug off Joe Worrall and burrow his way down the left, and Town are in.

Cue James Garner, shuttling across and pulling out a tackle Stuart Pearce up in the telly studio would be proud of.

The corner is a smart one. Sorba Thomas plays a ball out to the deep lying midfielder but it's blocked and over.

Another set-piece is treated like a burning hot potato by the Forest defence before Djed Spence slugs it well clear with a classy hoof.
