  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 80 mins

    Hearts 3-2 St Mirren

What a free-kick taker Stephen Kingsley is.

He bends it over the wall and Jak Alnwick is at full stretch to tip behind. Great effort.

I don't think the defending teams have won a header in their own box the whole game. It feels as if there's a chance whenever the ball goes in the box.

    Hearts 3-2 St Mirren

Hearts look most likely to score next as Charles Dunne denies Ellis Simms with a good block.

Nathaniel Atkinson is then tripped when looking to let fly.

    This is Stephen Kingsley territory...

  4. CLOSE!published at 78 mins

    Hearts 3-2 St Mirren

St Mirren need to wise up from set pieces or this tie will be beyond them soon.

Barrie McKay's outswinging corner is met by Peter Haring, who powers a header just over.

  7. CLOSE!published at 76 mins

    Hearts 3-2 St Mirren

A deep free-kick finds Craig Halkett in the box.

But the defender's glancing header is just wide of the back post.

    Hearts 3-2 St Mirren

I think this might be the best game I've watched this season, genuinely.

    An absolute belting cup tie.

St Mirren make a double change. Off come Alex Gogic and Greg Kiltie, on are forwards Alex Greive and young Jay Henderson.

  9. CLOSE!published at 72 mins

    Hearts 3-2 St Mirren

Ellis Simms does really well, turning Richard Tait and putting a dangerous ball in the box.

It's cleared as far as Peter Haring, who races onto the ball and blasts over.

He was brought on as a goal scoring midfielder - right on cue! Really good play by Atkinson and McEneff is in the right place at the right time. What a cup tie we've got!

Stephen Robinson will be absolutely furious.

Five minutes after getting level, his team are behind again. A big test of character now.

GOAL! Hearts 3-2 St Mirrenpublished at 67 mins

    Aaron McEneff

Did I say how good a game this is?

It's excellent from Nathaniel Atkinson, he's too strong for Jordan Jones and gets across the byeline before drilling into the box.

It hits a body and bounces back to substitute Aaron McEneff, who just diverts the ball in with this thigh.

    Bedlam. Absolute bedlam.

What a game this is, honestly.

Neat play from Hearts sees Liam Boyce touch a ball into the path of Andy Halliday.

But Jak Alnwick is brave and throws himself at it.

That's absolutely outstanding. I thought he was teeing the ball up for a cross with a bit of whip. Little did I think he was going for the shot. He couldn't have caught it much sweeter. Craig Gordon doesn't stand a chance. Wow.

    Connor Ronan

    WOOOOW!

That is absolutely stunning. Connor Ronan takes one touch on the ball, from at least 25 yards, and rifles a ridiculous effort into top-left corner.

It's another beauty to add to the St Mirren man's showreel.

    Hearts 2-1 St Mirren

Hearts-in-mouth stuff at the back from Hearts as Jordan Jones nips in front of Nathaniel Atkinson.

The winger is racing down on goal from a tight angle, but Craig Gordon is alert to it.

    Hearts 2-1 St Mirren

Lovely reverse ball from Beni Baningime sees Nathaniel Atkinson shape a ball to the back post off the right.

Just a bit much on it, though.

    Hearts 2-1 St Mirren

St Mirren are having to do a bit of defending as Hearts push for a third.

The visitors put a lot into that first half and they are sitting a bit deep now as Barrie McKay's cross is gathered by Jak Alnwick.
