Ryan Porteous is looking a little bit casual at times, he's letting the ball bounce and players run across him. He needs to sharpen up

Motherwell have to get closer to Hibs in the wider areas and stop the crosses. They can't afford to go 3-1 down because they will get a chance

Shaun Maloney will be telling his players to get the ball out into the wide areas. It's the key to their success in this match. Any time they have been out there, they look really dangerous, Hibs just haven't done it often enough

  13. HALF-TIME Motherwell 1-2 Hibernianpublished at 45+4 mins

Hibs in front, but the 10 men of Motherwell are not out of this.

We have had high drama from minute one, with Bevis Mugabi sent packing for an over the ball challenge on Josh Doig.

Jordan Roberts then got away with one that looked worse just moments later.

Elias Melkersen, making his first Hibs start, has been impressive, banging in a header and firing home a fine second goal.

But the hosts have a lifeline after Joe Efford steered in a wild shot from Roberts with his chest.

  14. CLOSE!published at 45+3 mins

    Motherwell 1-2 Hibernian

We're into four minutes of stoppage time and Hibs are inches away from restoring their two goal cushion.

Chris Mueller floats in a lovely cross and an Elias Melkersen hat-trick looks certain but the striker somehow fails to make contact with his head right in front of goal.

Perhaps he thought team-mate Ewan Henderson was going to get there first.

The 10 men are right back in it thanks to some quick thinking from Joe Efford.

Jordan Roberts has a lash from the right edge of the penalty area and it looks like his terrible shot is going out for a throw-in before Efford meets it with his chest to divert the ball low into the corner of the net.

The most impressive part of that goal is Melkersen's movement, it's incredible. As soon as the ball drops, his touch is immaculate and the finish is precise. He's earned the right to get that goal because of his movement
