Quote MessageNeither Motherwell or Hibs are going to win the league, so winning cup competitions is huge for the supporters
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
Hibernian manager Shaun Maloney tells BBC Scotland his side still "have a long way to go".
"Since the Arbroath game in the previous round, I do feel things have been quite positive," he says. "Even recently, when we haven't scored - but that's been the big issue in the final third.
"We will have to match Motherwell physically today."
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
Motherwell manager Graeme Alexander tells BBC Scotland his side are "going to give it their best shot" this afternoon.
"It's a tough game, but we are confident with what we have out on the pitch today," he says. "We have a good squad and we will probably have to use it over the full game.
"It's a game of football, whatever competition we go into we want to try and win the game, so the motivation is always the same, to feel good at the end of the game.
"There is always a different feel around the stadium on Scottish Cup day."

Michael Stewart
Former Hibs midfielder on BBC One Scotland
Quote MessageHibs are not creating enough and they're not scoring enough. Yes, there are mitigating circumstances, but if that continues, there will be trouble

James McFadden
Former Motherwell forward on BBC One Scotland
Quote MessageHibs will play out from the back and if Motherwell get their press right, they will make it very difficult for them.
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
Of course, Hibs ended their long, long wait to be reacquainted with the Scottish Cup in 2016 and they have been Hampden regulars in recent times.
The Edinburgh side were runners-up in the last two major finals, losing the League Cup to Celtic in December and beaten by St Johnstone in this tournament last May.
A win today would seal semi-final places in both cups for the third season running.
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
The last time the teams met was on league duty at Fir Park in late January when it was blowing a gale and lashing with rain. That one finished 0-0, with the home side holding on comfortably with 10 men after a 73rd-minute red card for Liam Donnelly.
Hibs fans are growing accustomed to goalless games, with their last three finishing that way.
Remarkably, the Easter Road side have failed to score in seven of their last 10.
Maybe Elias Melkersen is the answer.
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
Motherwell are on a run of one win in their last 10 matches and that came in the previous round of this competition when they recovered from losing an early goal at home to Aberdeen.
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
Jim Duffy
Former Hibs manager on BBC Sportsound
Quote MessageIt looks evenly matched. Both teams are still trying to find a bit of consistency, but Motherwell's firing power gives them the edge for me
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
One point separates these two in the Scottish Premiership, the last two league meetings have been draws and last season's Scottish Cup quarter-final at Easter Road was decided on penalties.
Everything points to a tight contest.
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
Hibernian welcome back goalkeeper Matt Macey and midfielder Joe Newell from injury, while Norwegian teenager Elias Melkersen makes his first start.
Christian Doidge is dropped to the bench, so Melkersen will be up front on his own.
Jake Doyle-Hayes is missing from the side that drew with St Johnstone last weekend and Rocky Bushiri does not return from suspension, so there must be something up with those two.
Garry O'Connor's boy Josh, 17, is among the subs, which is making me feel very old...
Skipper Paul Hanlon, Paul McGinn, Demetri Mitchell, Harry Clarke and Kyle Magennis are still out, with striker Kevin Nisbet set for a long spell on the sidelines after a knee operation.
Motherwell v Hibernian (12:30)
Motherwell manager Graham Alexander makes four changes to the side that were held 1-1 by Dundee last time out.
Bevis Mugabi and Nathan McGinley return as wing-backs, Dean Cornelius is in midfield and Jordan Roberts is up front.
Stephen O'Donnell drops out, along with Sean Goss, Mark O'Hara and Kaiyne Woolery.

Hearts are through to the Scottish Cup semi-finals after last night's thrilling 4-2 win over St Mirren, so who will join them?
We have a double helping of action today, with Motherwell and Hibs going head-to-head at Fir Park before Rangers visit Dundee.
The card is complete on Monday when Dundee United host Celtic.
