That's as far as we go here this evening.

It was a great start to the weekend for Huddersfield, who beat Hull City to go back up to third in the Championship.

They'll no doubt have a keen eye on the first bit of action in the second tier tomorrow, as play-off chasing Nottingham Forest visit Blackpool at 12:30 BST.

We'll have that and ALL tomorrow's other EFL action from 12:15 BST.

Hope you can join us then and enjoy the rest of your evening.

    Cheers!

Not so great for Hull City.

The Tigers have now lost their past six matches at home, equally a club record.

They've likely already got enough points to stay up but boss Shota Arveladze will want to get some more points on the board between now and the end of the season to show he is the man to take the club forward.

  3. Terriers back on the right trackpublished at 21:46 British Summer Time 1 April 2022

Victory for Huddersfield means they will watch tomorrow's action unfold from the rather comfortable position of third.

The Terriers had lost their past two games but they're now seven points clear of seventh-placed Middlesbrough.

They might have played three more games than Boro but, at this stage of the season, it's all about points on the board.

    Matthew Glennon
    Former Huddersfield Town goalkeeper

It gets the good feeling back in the camp.

It was a hard-fought win, especially with that late chance. I don't know how he missed it.

    Hull City 0-1 Huddersfield

Job done. Huddersfield go back up to third.

Hull City had the better of the first half but had striker Tom Eaves sent off just before the interval for two pretty silly bookings.

Harry Toffolo gave the Terriers the lead late on with a close range finish.

However, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh REALLY should have levelled in the final minute but headed wide for the Tigers, who have now lost their past six matches at home.

Oh, that was it for Hull!

Richie Smallwood clips a great cross to Allahyar Sayyadmanesh at the back post.

He's totally unmarked but sends his header wide.

Four minutes of time added on.

Can the 10-man hosts make one last chance?

Huddersfield have dropped deep as they look to see this out.

Heading towards time added on now.

  9. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Hull City 0-1 Huddersfield

Rare foray forward from the home side.

The ball's bouncing around and then Keane Lewis-Potter smashes a... I dunno cross maybe? Wildly past everyone.

  10. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Hull City 0-1 Huddersfield

It was just starting to feel like Huddersfield were going to fall short against the 10 men but that Harry Toffolo goal really changes the complexion of things at the top for them now.

They'll be seven points clear of seventh place if they hold on tonight.

    Not a thing of beauty...

But Huddersfield wont care at all!

Danel Sinani swings in a free-kick that Tom Lees heads at goal and Matt Ingram dives across to his left to save.

However, full-back Harry Toffolo is there to bundle the loose ball in from two yards out.

Town going third as it stands and seven points clear of seventh-placed Middlesbrough.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 78 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Huddersfield

Hull City midfielder Greg Docherty has made his mark already.

He's booked for a push on Pipa.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

Hull City make their second change.

Regan Slater goes off and Greg Docherty comes on.

Hull City asking their fans for their man of the match after 75 minutes feels a little premature...

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 73 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan makes his final two changes.

Danel Sinani and Pipa are on and Ollie Turton and Josh Koroma are off.

Can they provide the spark Town need?

  17. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Huddersfield

Sorba Thomas swings in another corner and Jon Russell manages to connect on the volley but it's straight at Matt Ingram in the home goal.

  18. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield midfielder Lewis O'Brien decides to just go it alone.

He storms into the area and fires a low shot at goal that home goalkeeper Matt Ingram gathers at the second attempt.

This was the moment that altered the course of this game.

Tom Eaves was sent off for the home side just before the break for, to be charitable, two 'striker's tackles'.

Fair to say it's quite out of character for the big Liverpudlian, his last red card was in September 2017 for Gillingham.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Huddersfield

Hull City remove Ryan Longman and bring on Callum Elder.
