    West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth

West Brom celebrate their first goalImage source, PA Media

So far so good for West Brom, thanks to those early goals from Alex Mowatt and Andy Carroll.

The Baggies' promotion hopes may be all but over, but they beat leaders Fulham at home last month.

Can they go on and also give second-placed Bournemouth a bloody nose too by holding on for three points?

    West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth

Conor Townsend, you're a lucky man. A loose back pass almost puts Dominic Solanke in but Sam Johnstone is alert enough to thrash the ball into the stands.

    HT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Fulham

There were some big flashpoints in that first-half, such as when Harrison Reed was clobbered in a tackle and stayed down in genuine discomfort as Boro played on.

However, when Fulham won the ball back, he picked himself off the turf and joined the attack, and incurred the wrath of the home support.

Fulham's Tim Ream then put a block challenge on Boro striker Duncan Watmore which left him in a heap.

No bookings yet though. Big 45 to come.

Boro out to Pigbag - one of the great club anthems.

    West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth

Jordan Zemura looks the most likely to create something for Bournemouth. He's foraging forward to increasing effect down the Cherries' left.

It's just missing the end product so far.

Bournemouth are a decent side, they knock it around well and if you don't stay with runners you're in trouble.

  8. Postpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth

A first real spell of concerted pressure from Bournemouth. Maybe they've finally shaken off the brain fog of that early double punch from Albion.

It's not been convincing defending by West Brom, but they've just about got away with it so far as Adam Smith sees an effort blocked.

It's tough going, this is what the Championship is all about. They're going to have this type of game all the time.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    Nottingham Forest 1-0 Coventry

Nottingham Forest have arguably dominated against Coventry and have their reward from the dangerous Brennan Johnson, whose goal is the difference so far.

Djed Spence has been an outlet, but it has not been one-way traffic.

Coventry had chances too, with Callum O'Hare testing Brice Samba, but Simon Moore has kept Philip Zinckernagel at bay.

    Tight scoreline still.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Fulham

Matt Crooks goes close for MiddlesbroughImage source, Getty Images

Middlesbrough have done a job of limiting Fulham's attacking threat, particularly with their back three who have taken the time and space away from Aleksandar Mitrovic and the likes of Harry Wilson and Fabio Carvalho.

Matt Crooks had the home side's best chance, firing just over the bar following a touch off a Fulham player, and the scoreline hence remains goalless.

  12. Postpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Fulham

Great ball in by Marcus Tavernier and Matt Crooks gets a shot on goal which is just helped over the bar. Boro come close.

That's the best chance of the game.

Fulham have had plenty of pressure around the box, some dangerous runs from Harry Wilson in particular but Joe Lumley has been alert to clear those radar-guided through-balls.

  13. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    Nott'm Forest 1-0 Coventry

Forest are getting good value out of Djed Spence, he's stalking down the right for fun.

Philip Zinckernagel then brings a fine save from Simon Moore from distance. Forest want a second.

  14. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth have been all over the place at the back so far, and they've not been able to handle Andy Carroll.

Semi Ajayi is a handful in the air too and from a corner he sees a downward header bounce back up and over the bar.

  15. Postpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    Nott'm Forest 1-0 Coventry

Forest rack up a string of corners but the visitors are defending well.

They had a great chance just before the goal but Callum O'Hare whizzed it just over the top. Fine margins.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Fulham

    It's getting scrappy in midfield.

    Tackles flying in, loose touches.

Certainly not the arena for Fulham's slick one-touch football. Lively.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:16 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth almost back into the game as Dominic Solanke pokes narrowly wide from Ryan Christie's low cross.

  18. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 6 April 2022

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Fulham

Chances at both ends, with Fulham breaking through Harry Wilson and Duncan Watmore getting a snapshot away against Marek Rodak for Boro.

    Andy Carroll (12 mins)

Wow. Two goals in three and a half minutes for West Brom.

Nathaniel Phillips misses a long ball down the middle from Sam Johnstone and Andy Carroll races on to it, holds off Adam Smith and fires past Mark Travers from the corner of the six-yard box.
