The merits of analysing systems and team shapes can be discussed, but it does look like Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough has tweaked his go-to 3-5-2 formation to something more like a 3-4-3.

Rather than a front two of Josh Magennis and Gavin Whyte, as expected, Whyte and Niall McGinn appear to be flanking Magennis in a front three.

The three at the back is as expected, but with Paddy McNair and debutant Paddy Lane in the wide positions of the four in the middle, with Steven Davis and Ali McCann in central midfield.

It has to be said, though, that Lane has been pinned back for most of this opening period and hasn't had a chance to get forward much.

The small group of Hungary fans in the far corner are giving it stacks. Nobody has told them this is just a friendly.

Zsolt Nagy is almost in but Dan Ballard, tipped to be the future of the NI defence once Jonny Evans and Craig Cathcart call it a day, shows a great turn of speed to get in ahead of his man and win a free-kick.

We've just seen a replay of that Davis effort from behind the goal. It looks like it's going miles wide but curls in at the last second.

Northern Ireland last faced Hungary way back in qualifying for Euro 2016, and there was late drama both home and away.

The dream run to the finals in France began with a comeback win - NI's first away victory in four years - when Niall McGinn and Kyle Lafferty scored in the final five minutes to send the travelling support wild in a 2-1 win.

If you think that was dramatic, just wait until the return game...

Lafferty was the hero once again as Michael O'Neill's men defied the odds to all but book their place at Euro 2016.

Things were looking bleak when Richard Guzmics gave Hungary the lead before Chris Baird was sent off with nine minutes to go.

However, cometh the hour, cometh the man. Lafferty smashed home in the third minute of injury-time to earn the 10 men a valuable point and put one foot on the plane to the finals.

It was one of those special nights at Windsor Park. Good times never seemed so good.
