There will be no hat-trick for Joelinton this afternoon. He is subbed off after taking a small knock to the ankle and on comes Miguel Almiron.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:24 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

    Man City 5-1 Watford

What a save this is! Ilkay Gundogan gets in the box and his shoot is heavily deflected off Christian Kabasele. Ben Foster has to react to palm it away. It was creeping inside the near post! Fingertips...

If Jesus is to leave city this summer (which looks likely) surely there isn't a team out there that wouldn't be interested in signing him.

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

Ooh that's rash. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall loses it on the left touchline then comes snapping straight back at John McGinn.

He's in the book now too.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

Nampalys Mendy catches John McGinn and he's the first to go in the book. Surprising, as it's been a little feisty.

Emmanuel Dennis is miles offside but the flag doesn't go up until he shoots when he's one-on-one with Ederson.

It's straight at the City keeper too.

  9. Villa building...published at 16:20 British Summer Time 23 April 2022

    Leicester 0-0 Aston Villa

For all their possession Leicester continue to struggle to get players involved higher up the pitch. Their two central defenders - Wesley Fofana and Caglar Soyuncu - have seen more ball than anyone in the side by a long way.

Villa's defensive lines remain well drilled and are ensuring Leicester can't pack much punch.

Youri Tielemans is a good example of the frustration Leicester face. He's won seven of his seven duels. But with the ball he's peripheral and has so far created nothing.

Villa are getting more and more into this but their foundations have allowed them to do so.

Brendan Rodgers is the more animated of the two managers on the touchline. Steven Gerrard was his captain at Liverpool, remember.

Solid defending from Jeremy Ngakia, who denies Raheem Sterling a certain goal from close range with a last-ditch clearance.

Thirty minutes to go here and Norwich look spent.

They've been taken apart by Newcastle, who only look like adding more. Matt Targett's cross from the right deflects into the grateful grasp of Tim Krul to spare the home side this time.

Still nice and competitive at the King Power. Leicester are in possession now, passing it around the back patiently.

How good has Jesus been today Could have been three assists too but for wasteful finishing from team mates.

Absolutely unbelievable. Sterling, De Bruyne, Jesus, Grealish, the movement was telepathic. Brilliant move and finish from Jesus.

    Magnificent.

Watford need to keep the score down. But the reaction from Guardiola and his staff to the penalty...

It meant a lot because if Watford got one back then it would have made it difficult to make changes.

    Man City 5-1 Watford

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

A rendition of 'stand up for the champions' echoes around the Etihad as the punters get to their feet. It's 10 years since City won the title on goal difference and this season's race is promising to end up just as tight.

This Gabriel Jesus inspired five-goal burst has put City on +59. Liverpool's is still better with +61... but for how much longer?

  20. CLOSE!published at 16:13 British Summer Time 23 April 2022
