Joao Cancelo keeps the ball in on the right and plays a lovely crossfield ball to Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian chests it down and cuts inside before dragging a low weak shot which is easily saved.

    Leeds 0-1 Man City

How many times can Leeds almost have an opportunity only to get the final ball wrong? Raphinha gets the ball down the right and cuts in but then can't pick out anybody with his pass into the box?

    Leeds 0-1 Man City

Leeds have their best chance of the game. Junior Firpo, unmarked, gets the ball near the corner of the box and drills it over the bar.

City aren't cruising here by any means.

    Leeds 0-1 Man City

Some fancy feet from Raphinha near the corner flag as he skips past Nathan Ake, who eventually tackles him on the edge of the box. Leeds fans want a free-kick/penalty but it was a good challenge.

Leeds United supporters are still waiting for their team to lay a glove on Manchester City and there seems some frustration that they are not flying at their opponents in the manner they may have been used to in the last few years under Marcelo Bielsa.

They are also unhappy with the number of free-kicks referee Paul Tierney is awarding against them.

Just a feeling of unease around at the moment but early days.

The Leeds defence look worried every time Raheem Sterling gets the ball.

On the other flank Jack Grealish is furious as he doesn't get a free-kick.

    Leeds 0-1 Man City

Ilkay Gundogan runs over the free-kick again and Phil Foden takes it again. This time instead of a cross it's a low driven pass into the box which runs to the Leeds keeper.

    Leeds 0-1 Man City

Raheem Sterling is fouled and takes a quick free-kick to Gabriel Jesus. Too quick for the ref. It's 7-1 on fouls.

    Leeds 0-1 Man City

Leeds have had a few moments now where they just get the final ball wrong. Raphinha is the latest man to fail to start a proper attack.

City win a corner as Nathan Ake's cross is blocked but Leeds fans say he handled the ball in the build-up. Which he did.

The corner is headed away anyway.

Khan Karn: How was Stuart Dallas meant to prevent contact when Sterling ran into him? Should never have been a freekick or a goal. Ridiculous officiating.

I'm no doctor but I'll just say I'm surprised Aymeric Laporte and Robin Koch are playing on here.

Laporte, who barely moved for a fair while, has a big red mark on the side of his face.

    But on they play.

    Leeds 0-1 Man City

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Elland Road

Manchester City will take that all day but from a Leeds United point of view that was a goal conceded far too easily.

Elland Road was actually silent - apart from celebrating Manchester City fans - after that goal but normal deafening service has now been resumed.
