A golden chance for Aleksandar Mitrovic to make it 2-0, but his first touch lets him down.

Harry Wilson breaks down the right and runs into the box, he slips it in to Mitrovic but he touches the ball too far and it runs away from him. Fabio Carvalho shoots in the rebound but it goes over the crossbar.

That goal has sparked the Fulham fans into raising the decibel level.

Just over an hour and they are set to be a Premier League club again.

However, the Derby fans have offered a reality check with their: "You're coming straight back down" chant.

Fantastic goal, brilliant individual ability from Fabio Carvalho.

Bobby Decordova-Reid also sculpted that goal with his build-up play after a great start from him.

That could be curtains now for Derby with that early Fulham goal. I think they'll go on from here.

    We have lift off!

That's one well-worked goal from Fulham, who are patient and pass and move the ball expertly around the box creating the space.

It's Fabio Carvalho though who gets his ninth league goal of the season to edge Fulham closer to the Premier League, slotting the ball beyond Ryan Allsop after a neat one-two with Bobby Decordova-Reid.

It's been a really open first 20 minutes, but Derby are the team that so far have the better of the stats, with two shots on target to Fulham's zero.

Tom Cairney feeds in Bobby De Cordova-Reid with a good cross-field pass, but his shot from the edge of the box goes high and wide of the goal.

They cannot mathematically get relegated this evening but it would take an unbelievable sequence of events to keep Derby up now.

The Rams have only spent four seasons in the third tier of the English game in their entire history.

The big question is, will they start next season with a 15-point deduction for failing to pay 25p in the pound to their non-football creditors?

Chance for Derby as they force a save out of Marek Rodak.

Teenager Malcolm Ebiowei wins the ball on halfway and makes a good break down the right. He passes it inside to Tom Lawrence who takes a punt on goal, but Rodek collects it fairly comfortably.

Fulham have the first set piece of the match, with a free kick on the left side of the box.

Harrison Reed swings it in but it goes out the other side for a corner. Harry Wilson then runs across the pitch to take this one and when the ball comes out Joe Bryan takes a shot at goal from distance, but it goes wide.

Derby have started really well. Ebiowei and Tom Lawrence seeing a lot of the ball in advanced areas.

The supporters haven't given it up also and do you know what - the game probably suits them.

Nothing to lose, an opponent on the cusp of promotion and a big occasion.

Malcolm Ebiowei wins Derby an early free kick on halfway as the home side soak up a bit of early possession and probably try and calm some nerves.

Chris Kirchner has been meeting fans tonight but is not speaking publicly until his deal is over the line.

However, it looks like Derby Council are going to be involved in some capacity.

The stadium is still under the control of Derby's former owner Mel Morris and all the other bidders felt the overall sum to buy the club and stadium, which was in excess of £50m to avoid a 15-point deduction next season, was too high.

Kirchner has yet to publicly reveal how the stadium fits into his plans but the club's administrators have said it is not part of the initial deal.

Prospective new Derby owner Chris Kirchner will be at tonight's game.

Kirchner is the Rams' Preferred Bidder and has been in England this week meeting Football League officials, plus 'Team Derby', a group that includes representatives of Derby Council and various local companies and fans' groups.

He is hoping to have confirmation his takeover has been agreed by the end of the month, which would at least allow him to start sorting the club's perilous finances out.

Derby went into administration in September.

They've been at the top of the table for so long, but is tonight the night when Fulham will finally secure their promotion back to the Premier League?

With Huddersfield's match against QPR ending in a draw, Fulham sit 14 points clear of third place and know that a win against Derby will be enough to clinch their return to the top flight at the first time of asking, with five fixtures remaining this season.

To do that, Marco Silva's side will have to beat a now bottom of the table Derby team, who desperately need all three points if they have any real chance of surviving in the Championship.

Wayne Rooney's Derby are 12 points behind Reading, and league safety, with the Royals having taken a vital win against Sheffield United earlier this afternoon to widen the gap.
