What was I saying about it being quiet...

Harry Toffolo has just woken the Huddersfield crowd up with an unstoppable header to put his side back in front.

Ollie Turton whips in a perfectly weighted cross from the right into the box and Toffolo puts it into the net from close range.

QPR have it all to do again to come back from behind.

    Huddersfield 1-1 QPR

It's a bit of a scrappy start to this second half, with no team yet taking much control. Instead, the ball is just getting moved around the midfield without really going anywhere.

  6. What the stats say at half-timepublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 15 April 2022

    StatsImage source, BBC Sport

Here's how the match is shaping up from a stats point of view.

Remarkably, despite Huddersfield spending almost all of the first 45 minutes 1-0 up, they haven't actually recorded a shot on target yet with their goal coming from a set piece.

QPR have the advantage in terms of shots and edge it just in terms of possession with 59% to Huddersfield's 41%. The visitors enjoyed a good 10 minute spell in control as half-time approached and were duly rewarded for it with Luke Amos' goal.

Huddersfield almost retake the lead from the restart.

Tom Lees heads goalbound from Harry Toffolo's ball into the QPR box but it deflects off Jimmy Dunne's head and over the bar.

And not long after that, the half comes to an end. Can Carlos Corberan's side pick up where they left off after the break?

    Matthew Glennon
    Former Huddersfield Town goalkeeper

I'm afraid you could see it coming.

QPR were building and it look liked Huddersfield were just trying to see out the half.

They have been getting crosses in - some of them were poor but it only takes one bit of quality and that's what they've shown, and they have their equaliser.

Town are the better side but they've been sloppy and have been punished for it.

    Luke Amos

    Well that's been coming.

Huddersfield concede an equaliser against QPR and it's a well-worked goal from the visitors.

Luke Amos turns in from close range after Huddersfield fail to pick up Sam McCallum's cross into the box.

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

It's all QPR at the minute but they don't seem to be able to turn their spell with the ball into any clear cut chances.

Sam McCallum is given the ball on the left wing but his cross into the box is wayward and sails out for a Huddersfield goal kick.

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

QPR win a free-kick in a dangerous area and it's played into the Huddersfield box.

There's a hush around the ground as Sam Field beats his markers and gets a head onto it but he diverts his effort over the bar.

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

    Matthew Glennon
    Former Huddersfield Town goalkeeper

You can't let QPR have that kind of possession just outside the penalty box.

Once they start encroaching on that 18-yard box you've got to bite and snap, and get that ball back.

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

Sorba Thomas picks up possession for the hosts as QPR fail to hold the ball after initially trying to win it back from a Huddersfield throw-in.

He then turns onto his right foot and tries to curl home from outside the box but it goes wide.

At the other end, QPR are penned back into trying an audacious shot of their own, but Andre Dozzell's effort from about 25 yards goes high and wide.

If you're just joining us, Huddersfield lead QPR thanks to Jonathan Hogg's header from a set piece earlier.

Or should that be Yoann Barbet putting the ball into his own net as he hastily tried to clear?

Either way, since that goal, not a lot has happened in this game.

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

The crowd at the John Smith's Stadium are in fine voice this evening, as their side look comfortable with their 1-0 lead at the minute.

In terms of on-the-field action, there's not a great deal to say at the minute, either the play confined to crosses and passes in midfield.

Mark Warburton's QPR are in the midst of a five-game losing run and now find themselves a goal down against promotion-chasing Huddersfield.

They could do with a leveller here. And fast.

  18. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

It's all Huddersfield so far as they look the more likely to add to their lead against QPR rather than concede.

Danny Ward, from quite some distance decides to let fly with a shot at goal which sails well wide of the mark.

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

Well what have QPR got in response to that, given their recent poor form?

Sam McCallum sends a ball into the box which is cleared by Huddersfield into the path of Sam Field.

Field then volleys wide of the mark.

Jonathan Hogg will definitely claim that.

The amount of times we ask why Huddersfield do that near-post corner routine, but it's certainly worked there.
