The ball gets worked out to the left to Borna Barisic who wins a corner.

The set piece comes in from James Tavernier. It's flicked on and Kemar Roofe looks like he has a tap in, but the ball comes thundering off the bar.

    How's that not gone in?!

Once the ball goes out wide, it's going into the box. There are three or four blue shirts in there every time Rangers have it. That's the plan - they're not messing around, they're not sending it back in to midfield.

Have I said already that Borna Barisic is playing well?

Again another wicked ball in is flicked on but Matheus smothers in the visiting goal.

The Braga keeper is hurt in the process and is receiving treatment. Back on his feet now.

  6. Barisic 'even better' crosser than Tavernierpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 14 April 2022

Last season Borna Barisic was fantastic. He got injured on international duty and really struggled. He has not found anywhere near the form this term. In the past two games, he's come back, and he's already put in three fantastic crosses. He's probably even better at crosses than James Tavernier when he's on his game.

Braga are actually pressing Rangers pretty well and Aaron Ramsey gets the ball nicked off him.

It opens up for Ricardo Horta but his strike is all wrong. Let-off for the hosts.

If you're Giovanni van Bronckhorst, you're screaming at your players to work the ball wide to Borna Barisic at every opportunity.

What a opening to the game the Croatia left-back has had.

Borna Barisic again with an outrageous cross.

It just seems to hit James Tavernier who's in at the back post again then Joe Aribo can't get a shot away.

  10. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Rangers 1-0 Braga (1-1 agg)

Joe Aribo holds the ball in well at the front post and sees Aaron Ramsey on the edge of the box.

Aribo rolls it out to the Welshman but he skies over. He'll be disappointed with that.

Braga are really starting to move the ball well in the Rangers half, but the last pass is always just a bit off.

Carlos Carvalhal said his young side would embrace this challenge. We might be seeing signs of that now.

  12. CLOSE!published at 15 mins

The Rangers deliveries into the Braga box have been superb so far.

This time it's Joe Aribo who curls in a belting ball, but Braga survive.

Moments later the ball breaks to Kemar Roofe at the front post but he pokes it wide.

Couple of sloppy passes has given Braga a bit of encouragement but they can't get close enough to the Rangers goal to fashion an opening.

The visitors might be coming into this now...

Braga look lost. I know we're only eight minutes in, but there are definitely more goals here for Rangers. They're getting all the joy because their full-backs are running beyond.

What a ball from 'Borna-gain' Barisic. It's at point-blank range, the Braga player heads it against Barisic. You could argue his hand is in an unnatural position and we could discuss that all day long. It's harsh.

Okay, we can breathe a bit now.

That disallowed goal hasn't derailed Rangers, though, as John Lundstram snaps into a tackle on the halfway line.

The home side are zipping the ball about brilliantly.

We were talking about how important the full-backs were for Rangers tonight, getting them into the game early. That's what everybody wanted to see tonight.

After a VAR check, the goal is chopped off due to the ball clipping Borna Barisic's hand in the build-up.

    He can count himself unlucky.
