    Bournemouth 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke looks to do a 'Bergkamp', spinning the ball round the corner one way and darting round the defender the other.

However, Steve Cook blatantly blocks his progress.

Free-kick. Bournemouth get it forward, Solanke has a shot which deflects out for a throw. Ryan Yates mops up the corresponding attack.

The visiting fans have been singing: "If Yatesy scores, we're in the sea!" He's a popular figure on Trentside.

Scott Parker is dressed like a man who should be sat outside an Italian cafe with an espresso, rather than guiding a team to the cusp of the Premier League.

His usually cool exterior is being tested though, full of encouragement for his team.

Forest boss Steve Cooper also emotive. Steve Cook has had stitches in his head wound we're told. Hope he got a sticker for being brave.

  3. SECOND HALFpublished at 46 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Nott'm Forest

OK, forty-five minutes to find a winner, or we go on to Saturday.

Sam Surridge hit the bar for Forest and might have had a penalty in the opening half.

In effect, we start from scratch. No score. Plenty of tension. It's all about nerve, mettle and character now.

It's all going on this week in League One where the regular season has already been tied up, and the play-off semi-finals now loom large.

MK Dons might have missed out on an automatic spot after results for Wigan and Rotherham at the weekend but they have a two-legged Buckinghamshire derby with Wycombe to kick off on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the focus switches to the north east on Friday when Sunderland host Sheffield Wednesday.

The away legs then follow on Sunday and Monday respectively. Tight turnarounds.

    Elsewhere in the Championship tonight...

Coventry City manager Mark Robins has signed a new contract.

The Sky Blues weren't a million miles away from the promotion shake-up and will get another summer to expand on the work of this campaign.

To paraphrase rock legends Motorhead, there will have been little sleep in Hammersmith and Fulham last night, as the Cottagers celebrated promotion with a Bank Holiday Monday 7-0 pummelling of Luton to lift the Championship title.

For more detail, check out our report with plenty of reaction from the Fulham players and coach Marco Silva.

There's also the thoughts of Fabio Carvalho, amid strong rumours he's off to Liverpool next season.

Colleague Chris Peddy asks the age-old question too - can Fulham stay up this time? Have a peek at his feature here.

My goodness, it's so, so tight in this game.

Bournemouth had the better of the game in the very early stages and Forest did well to weather the storm. Forest have gone on to create the better of the opportunities and will feel they should have had a penalty.

    It's been breathtaking end-to-end stuff.

There may be anxiety, nerves and tension, but those elements have taken nothing away from a game played with real competitive spirit and no little skill.

Sure, we've not had a ton of chances. Brice Samba has made a couple of saves against the Bournemouth attack, while Forest striker Sam Surridge hit the crossbar.

Still anyone's game. Will it go down to the final day? As it stands, yep.

Some Forest fans have been lucky to see their team in a European Cup semi-final.

Cologne and Ajax both beaten by the way in last four ties en route to the big pot in successive seasons.

Last minute of three added on.

Good effort from Philip Zinckernagel, testing Mark Travers from close range. Saved by the Cherries keeper.

Then the Denmark international is pinged for a challenge on Lewis Cook, more complaints.

Forest by the way, in that silly Lollypop Lady/Man kit, while Bournemouth in traditional red and black.

Three added minutes, with Steve Cook off having more treatment.

Forest should have had a penalty. Sam Surridge is played into the box and went to round Mark Travers but he's brought down.

Assistant calls offside, when replays show he was on.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Ryan Yates gets into a tussle down by his own corner flag with Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke. Gets a throw.

Could be a night where Solanke has to stay patient. Lurk for his one chance.

He's sharp enough to stay quiet amid the hustle and bustle, sub-like, before coming to the surface to strike when needed.

  15. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest get another shot away but the finish undermines the quality of the set-up.

Djed Spence raids down the right, clips into Brennan Johnson who draws the ball in almost magnetically, before steering the ball out of his feet and curling toward goal.

Straight down the throat of Mark Travers. Another on target though.

  16. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest are using Sam Surridge as a battering ram, knocking the ball forward and trying to put pressure on the Cherries defence.

Midfield is a battleground, tackles flying in and barely time for a touch.

Surridge's shot off the bar the nearest we've come, but Bournemouth have put in some dangerous deliveries in reply.

Jordan Zemura with a brilliant block! Forest come down the left after Jack Colback and Philip Zinckernagel combine, and the latter's cross picks out Brennan Johnson at the back stick.

It's a measured low shot but Zemura slides in and blocks. Phew. It's end to end.

Forest tested at the back again, as Jordan Zemura buzzes and sweeps in a superb cross and it takes Jack Colback's smart intervention to slam the ball clear.

Ryan Christie was ready to steer that home on the slide, but Colback was ahead of the game.

Zemura's energy has been a useful outlet. Jadon Anthony gets Bournemouth a corner and the hosts are on the up.

  20. 'A lot of Bournemouth pressure'published at 19:30 British Summer Time 3 May 2022

    Bournemouth 0-0 Nott'm Forest

    Brian Laws
Ex-Forest defender on BBC Radio Nottingham

It's has got scrappy. Bournemouth have a lot of pressure on Forest at the moment as they try to break them down.

Forest haven't caved in or given any quarter.
