They will be looking to counter in the spaces between the full-backs and centre-backs.

Carrie Jones will have to work really hard running the channels this evening.

Kadidiatou Diani is the first of France's dangerous forwards to offer a threat.

Looking at the crowd and the development in the numbers, it's superb.

We want to inspire the younger generation and we're on the right path for doing that.

France are hot favourites to seal automatic qualification for a place at the 2023 World Cup, which takes place in Australia and New Zealand, by winning Group I.

Having said that, a Welsh victory tonight would see Gemma Grainger's side move to within two points of the group leaders.

The most likely route to the tournament is via the play-offs, which Wales will be in should they finish second.

They begin tonight having fallen to third, after Slovenia's 2-0 win earlier in Kazakhstan saw them jump into second.

But Wales know three wins from their four remaining qualifiers - they still have to face Kazakhstan, Greece and Slovenia after tonight - would secure a play-off chance.

Robert Page's men's side are one game away from qualifying for just a second World Cup, while Gemma Grainger's women are in contention to make their first.

Hayley Ladd, Wales' Manchester United defender, says Grainger's players are looking to carry on where the men left off in their World Cup play-off semi-final last month.

This is a big game for Wales, don't buy into the narrative that this is a free hit, because France are really good.

I mean, France are really good, they are ranked third in the world, but Wales are an improving and emerging football force and they have shown before that they can compete with the elite teams.

Is tonight the night they achieve a big result against a big nation? Don't rule it out.

It could also be a special night for Helen Ward, but I think the chances of her making an appearance are very specific to the circumstances of the match.

France are the third best team in the world, coming into this tournament they played a couple of friendlies and they beat the Netherlands and Brazil.

This will be a real test for Wales.

Wales may have emerged with credit from their trip to France to last November, but boss Gemma Grainger is demanding more tonight.

Wales and France square up for the second time in Group I tonight having faced each other in the previous round of World Cup qualifying games last November.

France won that game 2-0, although nothing came easy for the home side in Guingamp.

Wales stayed in the game resolutely despite losing Kayleigh Green to a red card, with Jess Fishlock hitting the post in the closing minutes when the score was 1-0.

Selma Bacha then scored on the break to seal a French victory, but Wales proved they can compete with tonight's opponents.

Another close contest will be the minimum required by Wales boss Gemma Grainger tonight.
