I can't really see too much, but it just seems like a ludicrous protocol that has been followed how can he continue? It has taken so much time in the game as well and is just slowing everything down.

If Beyranvand has to miss 10 days for his health and his safety, then so be it. That's why these protocols are in place.

I don't see how him carrying on is right. This is ridiculous. It's almost as if he's been forced to carry on here.

It's 2022 and we are having so many discussions about concussion protocols and how it can lead to dementia. This is not ok.

Alireza Beyranvand now has a new shirt on and some tissue shoved up his nose. Seriously, get him off the pitch. He looks seriously dazed.

Well, Alireza Beyranvand is back on his feet and clearly wants to carry on. Like you would. But it can't be his call. The medical team need to step in here.

The Iran keeper is still on his back holding his head.

Hossein Hosseini is now fully ready to go.

I think this is where the medical team just have to step in and say it's not right. Make the change.

I'm not sure Iran can take any chances here. The medical lads need to make a call. We're talking about a head injury here.

We were talking about Jude Bellingham before the game and where he was going to play. He is drifting out to the right hand side, Bukayo Saka is tucking in from the wing and Kieran Trippier is getting really high and wide causing problems on the overlap.

Bayranvand is needed some serious treatment here. It was a proper smack he took to the face.

Iran actually have four keepers in their squad and one of them - Hossein Hosseini - is warming up just in case.

It is going to be so congested, so tight. That Iranian midfield is going to be so narrow in front of the defenders so you just wonder where England are going to find the space.

A few minutes in and the 'attack vs defence' battle many expected has set in.

Iran with 10 men behind the ball thus far, often leaving only Mehdi Taremi in the England half.

Full-backs Luke Shaw and Kieran Trippier high up the pitch so far too.
