    Harry Maguire did so well to meet the ball. Every bit of strength to get on to it, all he can do is guide it. Jordan Pickford celebrates at one end but the ball hits the bar at the other.

    The corner comes in and Harry Maguire meets it to plant a header against the frame of the goal.

    The ref had just had a word with Iran about holding men in the box, but Maguire got away from the flailing Roozbeh Cheshmi. So close!

    Although in fairness probably only six of those minutes were actually played due to the lengthy treatment received by injured Iran keeper Alireza Beyranvand.

    It's a tough angle for the shot but it is good one touch play from England and Bukayo Saka has bunted the ball into the near post area. Mason Mount didn't really have any other options and he couldn't get the whip he wanted.

    The roar that met the effort was quickly jeered by Iran fans as it became evident it had found the side netting.
