Mark: England have been spectacular against a very useful team. Puts into perspective the Nations league. A meaningless cup offered meaningless results. England are now a tournament team and the WC is coming home.
Sam: Is it to early to say,”it’s coming home”?

What a start! Harry Kane doesn't even need to lift his head once, he just plays it in to where he would want it. The finish from Sterling is absolutely spot on, outside of the boot, on the volley, pick that one out!

We're going to have 14 MINUTES of added time.
If you missed it earlier, this is because of a serious head injury to Iran keeper Alireza Beyranvand. His replacement, Hossein Hosseini, has conceded three since.

There is no arguing with that one, it is brilliant from England! They go long initially, Bukayo Saka reads the knockdown, Jude Bellingham does so well to drive on and Harry Kane with a brilliant ball in. Raheem Sterling with a great finish using the outside of his foot.

Even England fans look a bit surprised at the ease of this first half...
A rendition of 'Jingle Bells' is coming from them now as they leap around in delight.
What. A. Half.
Raheem Sterling
PARTY TIME!
England are blowing Iran away! Raheem Sterling hasn't been in the best of form this season, but this is a great finish, on the volley with the outside of his boot.
Harry Kane's cross supplied it after a superb run and pass from Jude Bellingham.

The Iran players are protesting but it looks a great strike from here
Bukayo Saka
PICK THAT OUT!
Bukayo Saka - another young Lion finding his way in this England side - scores an absolute belter, lashing in over the diving Iran keeper after a corner is headed down to him by Harry Maguire.
The Iranian players are raging at the ref, saying Maguire fouled his marker. He fouled him in the same way he himself was "fouled" earlier from the first corner of the game.

England in full control now the game has settled down and does not have that stop-start nature. They have found a rhythm. Glorious header glided into the top corner by Jude Bellingham and a fine cross by Luke Shaw.
Iran had clearly set this up to be an attritional battle and frustrate England so what do they do now?
