We were asking the question before the game whether Iran were poor or England were good in the first game.

That answer is pretty clear now.

A draw here is ideal for England as we'd know a win tonight means top spot secured

You can see on the sidelines that Rob Page isn't happy, well do something about it. You've got to be brave as a manager sometimes, to make the big calls like swapping out Bale or Ramsey - or both.

The standard of passing hasn't been anywhere near good enough. Nowhere near it.

Rob Page has got to respond. Wales are tired.

Gareth Bale has not been in the game enough for me today and there has not been a moment for him to have a moment.

From what I've seen so far, it will be England and Iran progressing from this group. Wales are worse than average and should just enjoy the moment. May sound harsh, but it's true.

When Aaron Ramsey is having a good day, he's brilliant. But when he's not, he's absolutely woeful.

Wow. That is incredible. Rob Page, what are you seeing? He must be watching a different game.

I can't believe that. It's an unbelievable move, and unfair.

Joe Allen is on but he needs Ramsey's help out there. And Ramsey has not been anywhere near his best, whereas Ampadu has.

Gareth: Watching Wales vs Iran in hotel in Johannesburg with a conference party around me wondering why I'm shouting Ramsey and hitting table every 5 mins! Probably poorest ever seen him.

@cuppatee1992: This match is the perfect example of why the world cup shouldn't be expanded to 48 teams. That's from a northern ireland fan.

The Iran fans, and there are lots of them here, are making all the noise now.

Wales are hanging on here, and cannot get out of their half at the moment.

It's somehow still level but the game's beyond Wales now. If they keep going like this, there's no way we're getting the result we need.

Rob Page needs to get fresh legs on there now.

Following game on BBC text. It sounds like Bale having a quiet game but no way can you say he is overrated. The opposition would love to see him substituted. That tells you all you need to know.
