Absolutely fantastic ball, just too good for everybody.

  4. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

Lovely cross from Ethan Ampadu, but no-one can get a touch for Wales.

They are certainly equipped to make chances now.

All their key attackers are on.

Finally some changes. James and Johnson on for Roberts and Wilson.

When you have no control of a game, why not go all out for the win?

  6. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

    Iwan Roberts
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Cymru

When you have moments like that, a team hitting the post twice in the space of seconds, you can sometimes feel like the luck is on your side.

But I don't feel that way in the slightest.

Wales' reliance on Rambo and Bale is gonna be their undoing. Impact subs now. Need Johnson & James on. Fresh hungry blood.

Mike: After watching England in their game vs Iran I was getting a frustrated with the passing build up they were using but they got the tactics perfect to a tee. They were patient and frustrated Iran, getting the better of them. Wales are not being patient in possession.

Peter: Truth be told, Wales only have one world class player - all you hear is "Bale this" and "Bale that". He can't win this all on his own.

  9. 'Under massive pressure'published at 59 mins

    Wales 0 -0 Iran

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wales are under massive pressure here.

They've coped with this before but are playing against an incredibly attack-minded team at the moment.

Sometimes hitting the post can affect you but it seems to have inspired Iran.

  11. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

Wales now essentially in the Ossie Ardiles 4-1-5 formation.

Robert Page has pushed all his chips into the middle of the table.

  12. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

    Brennan Johnson for Connor Roberts.

    Dan James for Harry Wilson.

    Wow. That is incredibly bold.

  13. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

    Iwan Roberts
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Cymru

Gareth Bale, where are you when Wales need you most?

  14. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

Iran have another chance as Ehsan Hajsafi's shot is blocked by Connor Roberts.

    Iran settle for a corner.

They are piling on the pressure.

  15. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

    Jess Fishlock
    Wales' most-capped footballer

Wales have to find a way where one or two passes does not mean Iran are at that goal.

  16. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

Aaron Ramsey wins a freekick, but Harry Wilson overhits it, attempting to cross.

  17. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

Kieffer Moore heads over, but it would probably have been given as a foul against him anyway for a push.

Wales are going to make changes.

  18. CLOSE!published at 50 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

    Remarkable!

    Iran hit the post twice!

    How have they not scored?

Three efforts on goal from Iran in a bananas passage of play, it is Sardar Azmoun who is so unlucky, striking both posts with the first and third shots.

    Wales charmed.

Mike: Next 45 minutes will determine Wales future in this World Cup. So far, they are second best.

  20. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Wales 0-0 Iran

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC One

Robert Page will be pleased with that first half performance, especially compared to the USA game.

But he'll want more end product. There are not enough crosses, shots, we haven't seen Gareth Bale on the ball as much.
