There's really no need for these silly fouls.

Saudi Arabia would progress to the last 16 with a win
A Mexico win would see them through if Poland beat Argentina
If that games finishes in a draw or Argentina win, Mexico would need to win by at least four goals

Poland 0-0 Argentina
Angel di Maria is the latest man to test the Poland keeper, who is equal to the effort from range.
Poland have barely had a touch in the Argentine half in the last 20 minutes.

David: What a save that was by Szczęsny to deny Messi's penalty. Not seen one as good as that for a while. Probably justice too, as the penalty decision was dubious
Poland 0-0 Argentina
Wojciech Szczesny remains the busiest man on the pitch. He gets away with one here as he palms out a Julian Alvarez shot only to see the ball bounce tamely back to him off another Argentine player.
Poland 0-0 Argentina
I thought VAR was for clear and obvious errors? Technology to make the game better, they said.
Saudi Arabia 0-0 Mexico
No idea how Luis Chavez thinks he's scoring this. The Mexican steps up to shoot from this long-range free-kick and drills it low, straight into the wall.
Now Orbelin Pineda's shot is deflected wide.

That feels like justice to me.
What a save from Szczesny. There was plenty of disbelief around me when the penalty was awarded, but it doesn't matter now.
A chant of 'Messi' rings around the stadium.
Poland 0-0 Argentina
It is a really strong right hand from Wojciech Szczesny to stop that Messi penalty. It's not a great spot kick but a fine stop. His second of the tournament.
He's going to have a lot more work to do yet, though.
Saudi Arabia 0-0 Mexico
Mexico have a free-kick 30 yards out. Such a fouly game.

Rick: Justice.
Dave: Ludicrous decision. Justice done, but never a penalty in a million years.
Wayne: That may be the worst penalty decision I’ve ever seen. Absolute fiasco

Brilliant save from Szczesny, exceptional. Messi took it well.
It does feel like justice was done to me, very soft penalty decision. Can't take it away from Szczesny, that was superb.
Poland 0-0 Argentina
Poland remain on the ropes.
That Lionel Messi ball to Marcos Acuna continues to cause trouble. This time the full-back volleys a cross back in from Messi's supply and it takes some scrambling Polish defenders to clear.
Poland 0-0 Argentina
Szczesny denies Lionel Messi!
He dives to his left and pushes the spot-kick with a big decisive hand.
I can't help but feel justice has been done there.

No. Not for me. Poor decision.
Saudi Arabia 0-0 Mexico
Mexico are certainly being very adventurous. They've got seven players spending the majority of their time in the opponent's half.

Still not convinced. Messi gets his head on the ball and then gets a little hand in the face. I'm not sure. Contact doesn't always mean a penalty. Not for me.
Poland 0-0 Argentina
I mean, I'm sorry, but that's a bit daft.
It's a small bit of contact, after the ball has gone.
Saudi Arabia 0-0 Mexico
Saudi Arabia have to replace Ali Al Bulayhi, who was injured in a battle with Hirving Lozano a few minutes ago. Riyadh Sharahili comes on for his competitive international debut!

I don't think his hand made much contact, I would be amazed.
Poland 0-0 Argentina
VAR is now checking for a possible penalty for that incident between Messi and Szczesny.
The ref is actually being called over to view it, which feels like overkill.
Szczesny makes a bit of contact with Messi's face, but a penalty? Surely not?!
