Chelsea are champions, but boy did they have to work for it. I would say 'until August' but the footy is carrying on through the summer.

Chelsea have a chance to do the double and defend the title they won in December in the FA Cup final at Wembley next week.

They'll be out for revenge against Manchester City who beat them in the League Cup final in March.

City are in sensational form. Since losing to Chelsea in the league in February they've won 13 straight games.

They snuck into he final Champions League spot, finishing third at Manchester United's expense today.

Chelsea

Chelsea's Millie Bright speaking to Sky Sports: "[I'm] just really proud. I know every player says it is like a family but it really is. I absolutely love every single one of them. Extremely sad to see Drew [Spence], Ji [so-Yun] and Jonna [Andersson] leave but unfortunately that’s part of the game.

"It'll be a massive hole, nobody can lie about that. As a group we have to get through it and we have to find a new way and a new journey. I don’t think you can ever replace them but ultimately you have to find a way.

On if this has been the hardest season yet: "100%. Start to finish it has been extremely tough. I think the results prove that for all teams. Teams have dropped points where you probably don’t expect them to but that’s the growth of the game."

After more football? There's a huge clash is Scotland at 16:00 BST today.

It's do or die for Glasgow City on as Rangers look to complete a sea change in the power balance of Scottish women's football and end the visitors' 14-year grip on the league title.

Eight points ahead with two games to go, a win or draw for Rangers and they will clinch not only their first-ever Scottish Women's Premier League title but their first women's football trophy.

A win for City, who have a game in hand, and they keep alive hopes of a historic 15th consecutive title and leave Rangers needing points away to their fierce rivals Celtic in their final game.

Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Erin Cuthbert speaking to Sky Sports: "We certainly looked like we weren’t playing our normal game, we weren’t keeping the ball. It looked like a game where it was ours to lose, not ours to win. That second half showed that it was ours to win."

On what Emma Hayes bring as a manager: “I think trust and belief. When I’ve been having a difficult time, I’ve not been able to see my family and I’ve not been able to socialise as much as I would have liked, I think she’s always believed in me. That’s what’s given me confidence, that’s what’s given me a run of games this season.

Sam Kerr's two goals today bought her total this season up to 20 from 20 games.

She's easily won the Golden Boot, having scored six more than second-placed Vivianne Miedema.

Chelsea head coach Emma Hayes speaking to Sky Sports: "This is by far and away the best [title win]. The fact that we were 2-1 down in the first half and now 4-2 epitomised the second half of the season.

On the most influential player this season: “Sam Kerr wins you games but Millie Bright has been available for every game. For that reason, I think her leadership when Magda was absent was unbelievable.”

Arsenal

Arsenal striker Beth Mead speaking to BBC Two: "I think in the first half we were rushing things and weren't patient.

"We were nervous. We heard Chelsea were 2-1 down and had a glimmer of hope. Unfortunately it was out of our hands today.

"I've just been playing more freely. I've really enjoyed this season, hopefully that showed. I think the change of managers is perfect timing for me.

"We have a week off, and then we've got to go again for the Euros.

"I'm super excited, and hopefully England can do well in the summer."

Chelsea striker Sam Kerr speaking to Sky Sports: "In the first half I thought we were a bit nervous. I definitely felt nervous. In the second half it was just about playing how we play. That's why we're champions - when we play like that no-one can stop us.

On first goal: "I don't score too many lefties. I just saw it coming and hit it and it went in. I don't care who scores today, we're champions so that's all the matter. I visualise scoring crazy goals (like the second) all the time and I just thought have a pop.

"This is honestly one of the best games I've played at Kingsmeadow. It's packed and we love it."

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall speaking to BBC Two: "All football clubs are looking at the transfer window. The ambition is to be stronger for next season.

"Some of the things Vivianne Miedema does is astonishing. It was a stellar performance. She's on a level that no one else is on in the league. Our ambition is the same, we want to keep her and will do everything we can to keep her."
