  2. 'West Ham have been fantastic'published at 13:07 British Summer Time 8 May 2022

    West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

    Fara Williams
Former Arsenal and Reading midfielder on BBC Two

West Ham are a really organised team with their back five and they play a box midfielder which I think Arsenal are finding it really difficult

They are trying take this game to Arsenal, they're trying to make something of the final day of the season.

West Ham had a few half chances on the counter attack.

Arsenal have played into their hands a little bit in terms of the nerves that they have but West Ham have been fantastic.

    Sam Kerr (46 mins)

    A STUNNER!

Just what Chelsea needed as a break eventually falls to Sam Kerr on the volley at the edge of the box.

Wow, she absolutely creams it, firing it over United keeper Mary Earps.

Chelsea are going to be champions as things stand.

Remember these Jonas Eidevall quotes pre-match?

"We have to consider if Chelsea lose, we only need to draw. That's the only way we'll change our tactics in the final few minutes.

"We will know what's happening from the Chelsea game."

    Interesting...

  11. 'Arsenal have given away sloppy passes'published at 12:59 British Summer Time 8 May 2022

    HT: West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

    Laura Bassett
Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender on BBC Two

Arsenal have had really good opportunities but it's the control. They have controlled the possession, controlled the ball, really dominate and they have but they've given away sloppy passes.

We normally see that cutting edge in the 18-yard box but we haven't seen that so far.

  12. Asante bows outpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 8 May 2022

    HT: Aston Villa 0-1 Birmingham

Former England international Anita Asante is playing in her final match following a 19-year career at the top of the women's game.

She was booked just before half-time at Villa Park - her final yellow card (hopefully...)

The Aston Villa defender's has had a hugely successful career, winning 71 caps for England and representing Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

She began her career at Arsenal before joining Chelsea and then moving abroad.

Asante's greatest achievement was arguably her role in Arsenal's quadruple-winning season in 2007, when the club became the only women's team from England to win the Champions League.

  13. 'Miedema has been Arsenal's standout player'published at 12:56 British Summer Time 8 May 2022

    HT: West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

    Fara Williams
Former Arsenal and Reading midfielder on BBC Two

I think this is the most tense and nervy that I've actually seen Jonas Eidevall and you can see that in the reflection of the players, they are feeling it.

I think the standout player for Arsenal was Vivianne Miedema, she is the calm player within the 11 that are playing.

These Arsenal fans are giving the players that little bit of confidence, letting then know what happening over at Kingsmeadow.

  14. Miedema to leave on a high?published at 12:54 British Summer Time 8 May 2022

    HT: West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

This could - could - be Vivianne Miedema's last game in an Arsenal shirt.

Reports in Spain are linking her to a switch to European champions Barcelona this summer.

If she does make the move it will bring an end to an incredible spell in London.

The Dutch striker is the WSL's all-time leading scorer.

  15. 'Arsenal need to stay patient'published at 12:52 British Summer Time 8 May 2022

    HT: West Ham 0-0 Arsenal

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

Arsenal need to stay patient, they are trying to play, keep the tempo up, play out quickly from the back but they've got 45 minutes to go out and win this this game.

West Ham are defending excellently, they've held Arsenal at bay.
