    Serbia 0-0 Switzerland

Serbia's front two of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dusan Vlahovic are giving the Swiss defence a lot to think about.

Dragan Stojkovic's team force a corner which Nikola Milenkovic heads narrowly wide of the near post.

    Cracking start!

A quick break down the right by Brazil ends with the ball being played into the box but Fred can't quite get the required touch. Really good pace down the flank there from the Brazilians, however.

Meanwhile, Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo seems to be the man Cameroon will look to to create opportunities. They have looked to get the ball to him quickly on the right on a couple of occasions.

Talk about a quick start! The noise so far has been coming from a group of Serbia fans behind the goal to my left - but they were silenced momentarily just then.

This is probably the most empty I've seen a stadium since being in Qatar.

Surely Cameroon can't do it, can they? But then again, this is the maddest of World Cups - the upsets, the late drama.

    Serbia 0-0 Switzerland

What a start! Switzerland almost take the lead inside 30 seconds as Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is forced into a double save.

The Serbia goalkeeper first denies Breel Embolo from point-blank range before palming Granit Xhaka's follow-up effort to safety.

A couple of wayward passes early on from Brazil, which will give Cameroon some encouragement as they look to get the win.

There's a big banner being held up by Brazil fans as the national anthem plays, which says "Get well soon, Pele".

The Brazil legend was admitted to Sao Paulo's Hospital Albert Einstein on Wednesday in what he says was a routine visit.

A reminder of the state of play in Group G...

Brazil require one point from their final game against Cameroon to clinch top spot.

Any of the other three teams could join them in the last 16.

Second-placed Switzerland must beat Serbia to guarantee their progress, while a point would be enough if Cameroon fail to beat Brazil.

Serbia and Cameroon both need to win their respective games to keep alive their qualification hopes.

Should both sides manage to get the win they need, Cameroon have a slight advantage with a marginally better goal difference.

This is a good chance for Antony to put pressure on Raphinha. Raphinha has suffered without Neymar, who he has a really good connection with.

Lots of noise for Granit Xhaka when his name is read out. Plenty of cheers from the Swiss supporters but very audible jeers from the Serbia contingent. The jeers are even louder for Xherdan Shaqiri.

    Serbia v Switzerland (19:00 GMT)

    Chris Sutton

Shaqiri is not the sharp, snappy player of a few seasons ago. He's gone over to the MLS and his form hasn't been great, but he's still Switzerland's go-to guy.

This game is going to be really tough to call. The Serbs have goals in their team with Vlahovic starting tonight.

Switzerland boss Murat Yakin is taking nothing for granted ahead of tonight's crucial game but feels his team are well placed to seal their progression from Group G.

"Our fate is in our hands, that's the good thing," he said. "Reaching the round of 16 would be a great achievement in such a difficult group. We're in a strong position, that's all that interests me."

  20. 'Neymar not training yet'published at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2022

    Cameroon v Brazil (19:00 GMT)

    Tim Vickery
South American football expert on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brazil haven't managed to get Neymar training yet. This is the stage of the tournament where there's very little time between games. It's why they've made so many changes tonight.

If they haven't got Neymar training on Friday, will he be ready on Monday?

If it was Uruguay, I think Neymar would be there, even on the subs bench. They will back themselves against South Korea so if he's not right, they have until Friday (possible quarter-final) to get him right. That's my understanding.
