Am I the only one who thinks Senegal can cause an upset here?

Senegal have got four players pushing high up the pitch, Ndiaye, Diatta, Dia with Sarr out wide. They are certainly committing players forward in the opening stages.

As you'd expect, the rival bands are belting out tunes in the stands. Trumpets, drums, the lot.

One thing England have done in games in this tournament is take early control of games, getting on the ball, dictating the tempo.

It's England in the knockout rounds of a major tournament. This is going to be gentle walk on a summer's day, right? Right?!

Our team on the ground has watched two or three fans become hundreds, then 1,000, and now we believe that around 2,000 are here at Box Park.
The atmosphere at this popular food and drink venue feels more like a busy match day at the iconic Wembley stadium, just a short walk away.
Many fans here respect Senegal and say that they shouldn’t be underestimated, but no one has told us they think that England will be anything other than victorious this evening.

Arms on shoulders on the field and in the stands as the English national anthem is played. Declan Rice is belting it out loudest. As usual.

England's high line will be seen as a weakness. Senegal are looking at counter attacking, that is what they are looking to do. They will be thinking about doing long balls forwards, get your three front men, get Ismaila Sarr up there and hit him.
You get one chance, you take it because they feel that is still their strongest point. Anyone who will be up front and get that diagonal pass will get in there.

Scholesy knew where the net was. Who's going to step up for England tonight?
England v Senegal (19:00 GMT)
The teams are heading out on to the pitch. Almost time to stop all the speculating and focus on what is actually happening.
Anthems, then kick off. Time to get yourself as comfortable as it's possible to be during an England knockout game at a major tournament.

Reporting from Dakar
In front of Dakar’s famous African Renaissance Monument, fans are starting to gather ahead of tonight’s FIFA World Cup game between Senegal and England.
The country’s green, yellow and red flag is everywhere - on T-shirts, armbands and vuvuzelas.
Large TV screens have been set up across the capital for people to watch the game together.
This is a country obsessed with football and, most evenings, young men playing the game can be seen on the city’s streets and on the beach.
Speaking to fans here, they say their team’s performance in the group stages, without their key player Sadio Mane, has given them confidence that they could beat England.
As the last sub-Saharan African team left in the competition, the rest of the region will also be rooting for them.

Andy: Everyone's an England manager tonight but let's get behind the one that actually picks the starting 11. A strong line-up with strength in depth... what's not to love?
Mick: This is tournament football and #ENGLAND'S tournament form under Southgate is massively improved over previous managers. THE BENCH IS PART OF THE TEAM

Around 10 minutes to go until kick off and Al Bayt is going to have to fill up a lot and quickly if this is going to be anywhere near capacity.
Hard to hear what the atmosphere is like as the sound system is absolutely booming.
Think standing next to the speakers in a tiny nightclub. Yep, that.
