I'm just watching Jude Bellingham. He looks so up for this game. His body language is great, his hand is going up for the ball. He certainly looks like he fancies it at the moment.

Bukayo Saka is already showing exactly why he has come back into this side.

He uses strength and pace to get away down the right but over-hits his cross.

Soon after, Saka is in the middle looking to get on the end of a fine Harry Kane cross that drifts ahead of him. Was the Arsenal forward put off by Edouard Mendy coming out? Looks like it.

Dave: As a Tottenham fan, I'm used to the feeling of trepidation that England fans have right now.

England are a confident side and it is starting to shine through.

They are seeing plenty of the ball in the Senegal half, shifting the team in green around in search for an opening.

Aged 19 years and 158 days, Jude Bellingham is the second teenager to start in a World Cup knockout match for England, after Michael Owen (18 years 198 days) against Argentina in 1998.

The Senegal fans are having some great fun towards the front of the stadium.

One big block of seats full of yellow, red and green shirts swaying to the drum beat, with another block of green shirted fan dancing to the same rhythm.

Brilliant.

England are warming to this. They work a crossing chance from the left that Edouard Mendy dives out and gets a touch to, to take it away from Bukayo Saka.

We're going to have a change of the ball. Must be a puncture. Did Bellingham cross it with that much venom?!

Oh, almost Bukayo!

Senegal get in a mess at the back and the Arsenal man looks to nip in and tackle Ismail Jakobs in the box. The defender just about escapes.

Boulaye Dia has just given England a big warning there. Real pace through the centre but a vital touch from Harry Maguire.

Incessant drumming from Senegal's fans. They must have some energy to keep it going - but we know they will.

How quickly are Senegal into the tackle there? Great pressure from Senegal. When that ball is in the midfield area, Mendy and Ciss will get after England out of possession. They are making life difficult for England to get that first pass off.

Phateema: I can see England going out on penalties tonight...

England give Senegal something to think about.

Kyle Walker receives the ball and he chips to Harry Maguire in the box. He is able to control and cross but Senegal stand tallest to head clear.

Nicely worked, though. You could see the idea.

England free-kick as Jude Bellingham is fouled in the middle of a tussle for the ball. It's midway inside the Senegal half. A clear chance to deliver into the box.

Well, a very, very early warning sign for England about the directness of Senegal. If you lose the ball in that midfield area, Boulaye Dia will get on his bike and get running. For a moment there, I thought he would be in with a shot on goal.

Harry Maguire immediately turned to John Stones after that chance and gestured they needed to be tighter in the centre. They are still having a bit of a discussion now. All very calm.

Senegal are snapping into tackles in midfield. Jude Bellingham is found but a man is on him in a flash. A foul by the Senegal player lets England off this time.

The England midfield looks like it will be Rice sitting in front of Stones and Maguire with Bellingham and Henderson pushing higher up the pitch.

Almost for Senegal!

England lose the ball near halfway and one pass sets Boulaye Dia away. He looks to dart between Stones and Maguire but the ball gets trapped in his feet and then bobbles out top Jordan Pickford.

That was direct, no nonsense and threatening.

John: The one thing I am certain of is the next 90 minutes (or more) of football is not going to result in a steady pulse rate. It's just not England's way, but we will come through.
