If anything, the whistling by the Morocco fans whenever Spain are in possession has got even louder in extra-time. I'm not sure how that is possible, 110 minutes in. Do they practice this?

It's just so stop-start and scrappy now. Morocco skipper Romain Saiss goes down and the physios are on.

It's been four minutes since that fella shot from kick-off and nothing has happened since.

Spain might be dominating possession but that has not translated into clearcut opportunities.

Even when they were good, they were like this. Most of their games in 2010 were 1-0.

This is all deja-vu to me as I was also doing Japan v Croatia last night and you knew nobody would win in extra time.

Adams: Suggestion. Any game which has more possession than chances should just go straight to penalties instead of extra time. Saves us all the stress really.

As an Ireland fan, that's not a happy memory.

Walid Cheddira has done well to get himself into a good position.

He should have finished better. The build up play was magnificent, it sliced through Spain’s midfield.
