Now James Bree gets involved at the other end of thepitch.

The former Aston Villa man gets forward well from right-back and sends a shot at goal from 20 yards that Lee Nicholls in the Huddersfield goal tips over.

Nicholls then punches the corner clear.

Everybody knows how big the game is.

It’s about being calm and collected when you step over that white line.

Even if you're nervous, try not to show the others the stress you’re going through.

  3. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 2 mins

    Luton 0-0 Huddersfield

    Well now!

Huddersfield Town wing-back Harry Toffolo thinks he should have a penalty in the opening 10 seconds and it's hard to disagree.

He looks to get on the end of Ollie Turton's ball to the back stick and James Bree pushes him from behind.

    We are under way.

Let's see what the Championship play-offs have for us this year then.

    Matthew Glennon

I think you have to look at it as two separate games.

Can we take a lead back to Huddersfield and then kick on and go again?

You look at the team selection, Carlos Corberan has not come here to get a 'snore draw'.

  6. We've come so VARpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    VARImage source, Rex Features

VAR will be introduced for the 2021-22 Championship play-off final at Wembley for the first time, the English Football League has confirmed.

Meanwhile, the league say "discussions remain ongoing" over the use of VAR in the League One and League Two finals.

Of course that means that for tonight, and the three other Championship play-off semi-final games, the calls will come down solely on the four officials at the ground.

Christopher Schindler's penalty sent Huddersfield to the Premier League with a shootout win over Reading in the Championship play-off final in 2017

Huddersfield Town and Blackpool are the only two teams to have won promotion through the play-offs in the fourth, third and second tiers.

Town completed the set in 2017 when they beat Reading in the Championship play-off final.

Skipper Jonathan Hogg was in the Terriers team that day and his experience could prove crucial over the coming games.

He's not the only member of their squad with prior play-off experience with the Terriers though.

Striker Jordan Rhodes, who is on the bench tonight, scored a penalty in their shootout win over Sheffield United in the League One final in 2012, and he and forward Danny Ward were also part of the Huddersfield team who lost to Peterborough in the third tier play-off final way back in 2011.

In total this is Huddersfield's 10th play-off campaign and they are looking for a fifth promotion.

Only the aforementioned Blackpool can boast more successes than them, with six final wins.

  9. The Hatters hoping for a fairytale endingpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    Luton v Huddersfield (19:45 BST)

Nathan Jones stunnedImage source, Rex Features

Luton Town fans with long memories will be able to remember when their club last played in the top-flight.

The Hatters suffered relegation from the then First Division in May 1992, months before the league rebranded as the Premier League.

However, ones with much shorter memories will be able to recall the years the club spent in non-league football after they were deducted 30 points by the Football League in 2008.

Their rise back through the leagues since promotion to League Two in 2014 has been nothing short of remarkable and boss Nathan Jones has said that a promotion to the Premier League would be "possibly the greatest story in football".

"It's the biggest game the ground has seen for a heck of a long time," he told BBC Three Counties Radio.

"It's been a really good journey and it's a fantastic football club.

"It's a wonderful, wonderful story and if promotion was to be achieved it would be possibly the greatest story in football."

  10. Team Newspublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 13 May 2022

    Luton v Huddersfield (19:45 BST)

Luton Town go with the same XI who sealed their place in the play-offs last week with a win over Reading. Striker Elijah Adebayo is still out.

Huddersfield Town make three changes from the team that beat Bristol City last Saturday, with Lewis O'Brien fit to return to the XI. Influential winger Sorba Thomas is on the bench after a knee injury.

The Championship play-offs are often solely viewed through the prism of how much promotion is worth.

Of course the financial reality of joining the world's richest league is undeniably huge but, for the players and fans involved, it's not just about money.

Luton and Huddersfield started the season with few fancying them to finish in the top half - never mind the top six - but in just over two weeks' time one will be playing at Wembley.

This is a time for playing the game not the occasion, a time for putting into practice what you've been doing day in and day out for the past 10 months, a time for heroes.

Good evening and welcome to live text of Luton Town v Huddersfield Town in the Championship play-offs.
