  3. 'Sibbick should be okay' - Neilsonpublished at 22:32 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

    FT: Motherwell 2-1 Hearts

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson tells BBC Scotland: "I thought we played really well at times but when you come to Motherwell you've got to deal with set plays, 90% of their goals come from set plays.

"We made changes but I still expect a Hearts team to come here and win the game. First half we did enough to win it but the second half we were nowhere near the levels we can hit."

Neilson did confirm that Toby Sibbick, who was carried off on a stretcher, "should be okay" for the Scottish Cup final in 10 days time.

  4. 'Rangers in a good place' - Van Bronckhorstpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

    FT: Rangers 4-1 Ross County

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst tells RangersTV: "It was a comfortable win, we dominated the game. We let them back in it but we scored two more good goals after that.

"We played really well, there was a lot of rhythm. We're rotating a lot of players, I want everyone to get their minutes. We're in a good place, we're going to work hard in the next 10 days.

"We have a big squad, it's another chance to rotate [against Hearts on Saturday]. We can maybe give youngsters a chance."

  5. 'Dundee United future really bright'published at 22:26 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

    FT: Dundee United 1-1 Celtic

Dundee United manager Tam Courts tells BBC Scotland he is "absolutely delighted" to secure European football next season.

“I had a sneaking suspicion that the players knew exactly what was at stake, that there was a big performance required," he says. "We performed really well at Tannadice against Rangers but not so much against Celtic, so I think tonight that the challenge was making sure that we gave a good account and representation of ourselves.

"I think in the first half, in particular, it was a real good solid showing and in the second half, we really grew into the game as an attacking threat and probably created some of the best chances. So, on another night, we might have actually taken the full three points.

"When you run with a small squad, we’ve thankfully we’ve got versatility in the squad and young players who are talented and hungry for the opportunity.

“For me, the medium to long term future of this club is really bright, and in the short term we secured top six and now Europe and we have a chance to finish it off on Saturday and get fourth position."

On tonight's goalscorer Dylan Levitt possibly returning next season, he adds: “I’d like to think so. I think good players are always going to have options, but this is a big club.”

  7. 'Performance sums up the season' - Goodwinpublished at 22:17 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

    FT: St Johnstone 1-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Radio Scotland: "We dominated the ball and had two or three times the number of passes but those stats don't matter. The end result matters most.

"We were in complete control and one ball over the top of our backline and the ball is in the net. When the ball comers across the face of goal, it is really, really poor defending. There's no getting away from the numbers - this team has conceded far too many goals.

"We're going to try and work to improve things drastically so we're not in this position again. This performance sums up the season.

"I'm disappointed I wasn't able to get a better bounce out of the squad that is here. I've got to take my level of responsibility."

  8. 'It's been a real slog' - Davidsonpublished at 22:14 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

    FT: St Johnstone 1-0 Aberdeen

St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson tells BBC Radio Scotland: "It’s been a real tough slog since January. We’re coming out of it, playing with a lot more confidence, back to the style of play we’re looking for. Aberdeen had a lot of ball but we defended really well and tried to break them on the counter.

"Inverness and Arbroath are two very good teams and they’ll be two really tough games, whoever goes through. It’s up to us to put them under as much pressure as we possibly can.

"A lot of players are on a few bookings, a few boys have knocks and injuries - nine players from the first-team squad were out tonight."

Remember, Celtic finished 25 points behind Rangers last season.

They were in sixth place at the start of October and trailed their Glasgow rivals by six points going into 2022.

No wonder manager Ange Postecoglou sounds spent after steering the club to the summit with a 31-game unbeaten run in the league.

  12. 'It almost feels like two seasons in one'published at 21:55 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

    FT: Dundee United 1-1 Celtic

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is the club's 12th manager to deliver a title.

He tells BBC Sportsound. "The dream was always to manage a famous club and try and make an impact. When something is almost a lifelong obsession and you finally get there, it's hard to put into words.

"It almost feels like two seasons in one. We've jammed in a rebuilding season and a season to win. We had a lot of work to do, and with the support of everyone at the club, we got there."

  13. 'I couldn't be more proud' - Postecogloupublished at 21:48 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

    FT: Dundee United 1-1 Celtic

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou tells BBC Sportsound: "It's been a hell of a season. Our starting point was a fair way back and the way this group of players and staff has risen to the challenge - I couldn't be more proud.

"It's fairly overwhelming. It's taken every ounce of me to get us where we are and when you get to the finish line, you just want to collapse.

"We've been focused all season, not getting distracted by anything. The players were really good at dealing with what was in front of them - and that's not easy to do."

  14. FULL-TIME St Johnstone 1-0 Aberdeenpublished at 21:42 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

Dundee are relegated! St Johnstone's win consigns the Dees to bottom spot and means the Perth side must face Inverness Caley Thistle or Arbroath for a place in next season's top flight.

Callum Hendry's goal separates the teams on a less-than-thrilling night of bottom-six football.

    Aberdeen stay in 10th place.

  15. FULL-TIME Motherwell 2-1 Heart of Midlothianpublished at 21:40 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

Motherwell clinch a place in next season's Europa Conference League after beating Hearts to ensure they can finish no lower than fifth in the Scottish Premiership.

They visit Celtic on Saturday as they scrap it out with Dundee United for fourth after winning back-to-back games for the first time since December.

Joe Efford struck early only for Hearts' Josh Ginnelly to level soon after. Ricki Lamie then scored after the break to spark joyous scenes in Lanarkshire.

For Hearts, it is a third game without a win, although third place has been assured for some time with one eye firmly on the Scottish Cup final against Rangers on 21 May.

"Things don't always go your way but I live in the moment and this is my journey.

"The manager can only pick one goalie. At the moment,he's picking me and I'm doing everything I can to stay in that team and be part of this."

  18. FULL-TIME St Mirren 0-0 Livingstonpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time 11 May 2022

Despite both sides rattling the woodwork neither could break the deadlock.

Curtis Main's first-half header was as close as St Mirren came, smacking the face of the post.

Odin Bailey almost won it late on for the visitors. His shot beat Jack Alnwick all ends up - something no other players could do - but his shot bounced off the crossbar.

Not a bad result for either side, as Livingston effectively seal seventh - save for a huge goal swing on the final day of the season.

The league title is now officially beyond the Ibrox side, but they treated their fans to an entertaining display on their final home game of the season.
