That is what three goals in six remarkable minutes to seal the Premier League title at the end of an emotionally draining, rollercoaster season will do to a manager.
In the moment on Sunday, it was all about the raw joy of football and Manchester City retaining their status as the number one side in English football.
In the months to come, though, before another season gets under way, Guardiola may allow himself a moment to reflect on all he has achieved during his time in the Premier League. It truly is something special.

"It was a sensational game, I am usually really positive but at 2-0 I thought it was gone. Then the most astonishing five minutes with three goals and City are champions again.
"Never give up but if I am honest I thought we had blown it. But then we have the best team in England, Europe and the world. The determination and courage* they have is there to be seen.
"Phil Foden is a superstar already, we have been seeing it for a long time. I first saw him when he was 16 and he stood out, you could tell he was special and the sky is the limit for him. He already has eight or nine domestic trophies and can go and break all sorts of records.

"10 seconds after the 2-0 (felt we lost it) but we did it, the City way. Now it feels very sweet.
"Thank you to the fans, the last game and atmosphere was amazing. Enjoy the summer and let's go again."

"I love this City, the crowd and is the club of the city. England is unbelievable and Manchester is great."
It's has been quite a few days for City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
On Wednesday he got married to his fiance Sara, four days later he scored the winning goal that won his team the title.

Former City goalkeeper Shay Given: "It was a mad day. I was working on TV for the Premier League and I told the camera crew to go home at half time because the cameras would be at Anfield. Pep and the boys managed to turn it around and what memories for everyone.
"It happened so fast, five minutes between the goals and it was mental. You have to look at the subs, they were all involved in the goals. We have the best manager in the world and Pep Guardiola made inspired substitutions. I would have made the wrong sub in bringing Jack Grealish on.
"The week leading up to the game, Pep was keeping the players relaxed. If City didn't win the Premier League it would have been a trophyless season and they have won the biggest one of the lot. Looking back 10-20 years time, people will talk about what a crop of players and manager we had.
"You have to give Liverpool credit and the job Jurgen Klopp has done but you have to give these guys credit, to beat them four out of five times is phenomenal."
City midfielder Jack Grealish on the bus: "Unbelievable. It has been difficult at times.
"I want to see everyone at the Albert Schloss tonight and I'll buy you a shot."
City defender John Stones on the bus: "It is hard to control where and when you are playing but to finish at home is incredible, it makes all the difference. Everyone was frustrated on 45-50 minutes but to stick by us and get through the game, keep the support and to get through it is incredible.
"We are all one team, together and it feels like that."
Goalkeeper Scott Carson jests: "The problem in the first half was John Stones playing right-back! We would have had more chance of winning the game with me a right-back."
Man City defender Oleksandr Zinchenko on the bus: "It was an unbelievable day and I am so proud to be a part of this amazing club. The fans deserve it.
"At 2-0 down everyone was so disappointed. After scoring one goal we would push and the fans were amazing. We started to believe and we did it."
Nigel de Jong says he was out with the players last night and we were "a little bit intoxicated".

There was a long embrace between boss Pep Guardiola and departing skipper Fernandinho as well.
