Ireland are just desperate to restore their battered reputation and are loving life at the moment.

Three green shirts swarm around Scotland keeper Craig Gordon as he tries to clear and one of them gets a leg on his whack forward.

    Cue roars in the Aviva.

It looked in from here but if it's not Grant Hanley's done ever so well to keep it out. A wonderful clearance just to keep it at three

  3. NO GOALpublished at 64 mins

    Republic of Ireland 3-0 Scotland

The VAR says the ball is not over the line and Ireland are denied a fourth goal!

It really looked as if it was over, but clearly the officials are seeing a smidge of the ball hasn't crossed the line.

Scott Hogan connects with a cross at the back post and it looks for all the money as if it's over before Grant Hanley hooks the ball clear.

I thought what Michael Obafemi did in the build-up to the Troy Parrott goal was brilliant, but he's only gone and topped it.

Good work from Jayson Molumby prior to the goal, too, but that was all about Obafemi.

The 21-year-old Swansea striker is having himself a day.

Most Republic fans were justifiably dreading today, but they're loving every minute of this.

It's mix-ups all over the field. I think watching it back Craig Gordon might be a bit disappointed with that one. Three-nil, game over

    Michael Obafemi

    WOW.

Scotland are caught in possession in a dangerous area, and the ball is fed to Michael Obafemi, who lets the ball run across him and just smashes it.

It dips and swerves all the way past Craig Gordon from 25 yards. What a way to score your first international goal. Game over surely.

Scotland get an early corner as Andy Robertson works some space down the left.

It doesn't come to anything once again, though. The Aviva is a lot more hushed than it was just before the break.

What a half-time team talk for Scotland boss Steve Clarke. Stephen Kenny on the other hand, will be delighted.

They are well on course for their first ever Nations League win!

It's not been a good half, aside from the two John McGinn chances. Ireland have just been better. They're worthy of their 2-0 lead so far and it's up to Steve Clarke and his staff to address that
