Chelsea's sponsorship deal with telecommunications company Three is set to resume following the club's sale.

Three cut links with the club in March as the UK government sanctioned Blues owner Roman Abramovich over his ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin following the invasion of Ukraine.

The company asked Chelsea to remove its logo from shirts and the stadium but is now willing to resume sponsorship.

LA Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly led the purchase of Chelsea for £4.25bn in May.

Ten Premier League players and three other Britons are on the 100-man list for the Golden Boy award.

Barcelona's Pedri won the award last year, given to the best under-21 player in Europe's top flights.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Wolves all have two players on the long list which will be dwindled down each month.

The winner will be decided by a mix of votes on the website of organisers Tuttosport and a range of European journalists.

Facing newly promoted sides on the first day is harder than facing them a few months later because they are very motivated early doors and haven't been worn down through having typically smaller squads, lost some morale after more regular losses than the season before and over time teams figure out how they play.

  11. Where next for Gareth Bale?published at 11:43 British Summer Time 16 June 2022

    Gareth BaleImage source, Getty Images

Gareth Bale gets asked the question so frequently, his reply by now is simply to smile. Where will his next move take him? He likes to keep everyone guessing.

The 32-year-old is out of contract and available on a free transfer following the end of his nine-year stay at Real Madrid, where he won five Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles, scoring more than 100 goals along the way.

The relationship soured, though. Having barely featured for Real during his final season in Spain, Bale does not leave the Bernabeu with the status he held upon his arrival as the world's most expensive player in 2013.

The Wales captain may no longer be regarded among the world's best five or so players - as he once was - but he will have plenty of offers this summer.

  12. Mbappe must have changed dream - Perezpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 16 June 2022

    Kylian MbappeImage source, Getty Images

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says Kylian Mbappe "must have changed his dream" after the France striker rejected a move to the Spanish club.

Mbappe, 23, signed a new lucrative three-year contract at Paris St-Germain instead of moving to the La Liga club.

"His dream was to play at Real Madrid," Perez told El Chiringuito.

"We wanted to do it last August and they didn't let him leave, he kept saying he wanted to play at Madrid and 15 days before changed the situation."

Decent start for Leeds, should manage 8 points or so out of that first run I’d say. If we lose Kalvin to City at least he’ll get to spend Boxing Day back in Leeds!

Not sure but I must be missing something. How is the Prem skewed? If the teams in the missing derbies are good enough to compete and remain in the Prem, the games exist. Southampton and the London clubs beyond Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs, hardly set the league alight, but they manage to compete and survive. As with all teams wanting to sit at the top tables, seats have to be earned.
