Big shouts for handball!

A long ball forward is hooked into the sky by Gabriel and falls between William Saliba and Odsonne Edouard. It looks to just clip the Gunners defender's arm, but it was down by his side and certainly not intentional.

No penalty given. There might have been a time - in the early days of VAR - when that might have been overturned.

The Arsenal winger tracks back and gets himself between man and ball as Wilfried Zaha looks to buy a yard to curl in a shot.

Jordan Ayew is an irritant to opponents. He simply never gives up pestering and pressing. He gets a bit of his own medicine from Oleksandr Zinchenko but comes out on top to prevent Arsenal getting in.

He dallies on the ball and is then forced to take the ball around Odsonne Edouard and hack away in a panic.

It is all encouragement to Palace and their fans, who roar the home side on.

Patrick Vieira said he thinks his team are behind tactically because they've been split into two groups for a large part of pre-season. Zinchenko had so much space to head the ball back to Martinelli to score. Have they had enough time to work on those details?

Wilfried Zaha is going to be the target most times for Palace.

The ball is launched towards him and finds wide left. His ball in his designed for Odsonne Edouard but fails to find him in the middle as Arsenal clear.

Martinelli's opener will have thrilled Gunners on Twitter.

Gabriel Martinelli takes a clattering from two Palace players, who sandwich him between two tackles. Cheick Doucoure there, letting the Brazilian know he's there.

Chance for Palace.

They nick the ball high up through Jordan Ayew, but after the ball is fed wide left for Wilfried Zaha, Arsenal recover their positions and are there in number to cut out the cross and clear.
