After setting up the first goal, Matt Godden gets his own name on the scoresheet and doubles Coventry's lead at The Den.

Jake Bidwell puts the ball through to Godden who somehow finds the space to squeeze the ball across goal and into the net. Advantage very much Coventry.

If you were wondering what had inspired Rotherham to surge into a 3-0 lead in this one could it have been that boss Paul Warne was blasting some Taylor Swift in the dressing room pre-kick off?

Water break and the Reading goalkeeper Joe Lumley is right in-front of his teams fans who are clapping him and trying to perk him up. He's apologising to them. He's the only player not in the Reading huddle having a water break.

  7. MISSED PENALTY - Lewis Baker (Stoke)published at 15:22 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

Lee Nicholls had a superb season for Huddersfield last season and he's just made a save from Lewis Baker's penalty!

The Potters were given a spot-kick for a high foot but the former MK Dons man does the business to keep Baker's effort out.

Moments later Stoke forward Jacob Brown hits the post with a shot.

    Wigan Athletic 0-1 Bristol City

That could well have been a big let-off for Wigan and we're not even 18 minutes in here.

Joe Bennett and Joe Williams come together with contact, and Bennett appears to strike out at his Bristol City namesake

The referee took his time though and went to consult with his assistant before pulling out a card, but it was yellow not red.

That's a horrific mistake by the Reading goalkeeper Joe Lumley who looks shattered! He has lost the plot.

It was the tamest shot you will ever see he just missed it, the ball has gone down his body, through his legs and over the line.

Reading have a mountain to climb.

  11. goal

GOAL: Rotherham 3-0 Readingpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 13 August 2022

    Jamie Lindsay (18 mins)

    My word!

Moments after Conor Washington should have made it 3-0 but missed an easy header,Jamie Lindsay does make it 3-0 with a shot that squirms through Royals goalkeeper Joe Lumley.

I would not want to be in that Reading dressing room at half-time with Paul Ince if this carries on...

He's THUMPED it in off the crossbar!!! Washington went straight past the Reading keeper who probably should have come out sooner, but it was an acute angle. Give Washington credit - good goal.

The traffic is going all Bristol City's way at the DW Stadium so far.

Tommy Conway is causing all kinds of problems, this time linking up with Mark Sykes. Conway goes down in the box, but the referee waves away any shouts of a penalty.
