It's been a fairly understated first 20 minutes or so in Sandwell.

But those two Albion near misses - followed by Burnley's close effort at the other end - have got the crowd going a bit.

The Hawthorns volume control has definitely gone up a notch.

It's end to end stuff now.

Nathan Tella sprints towards the edge of the box and unleashes a fierce shot which flies inches wide.

West Brom have drawn five of their opening seven matches.

Steve Bruce makes just the one enforced change from Tuesday's draw at Wigan as Taylor Gardner-Hickman comes in for the injured Semi Ajayi in defence. New striker Brandon Thomas-Asante is on the bench, but experienced defender Martin Kelly, who joined on deadline day, does not make the squad.

West Brom: Button, Gardner-Hickman, Bartley, O'Shea, Townsend, Molumby, Yokuslu, Wallace, Swift, Diangana, Grant.

Subs: Palmer, Ashworth, Reach, Livermore, Phillips, Thomas-Asante, Zohore.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany makes two changes from the side that beat Millwall in midweek, with Ian Maatsen returning from suspension and Brazilian winger Vitinho coming into the starting XI.

Burnley: Muric, Roberts, Harwood-Bellis, Taylor, Maatsen, Cullen, Cork, Brownhill, Vitinho, Tella, Rodriguez.

Subs: Peacock-Farrell, Egan-Riley, Bastien, Gudmundsson, Churlinov, Benson, Barnes.
