John Beaton steps in again as tempers threaten to spill over. A period of snarling challenges ends with Nohan Kenneh dragging Lawrence Shankland down to the turf.

Referee John Beaton takes action this time as Hibs defender Ryan Porteous comes steaming into a tackle on Liam Boyce near halfway.

Lawrence Shankland gets away with a rather high and rash challenge on Josh Campbell.

Elias Melkersen with a lovely cross from the right and Elie Youan meets it with a smart, glancing header. Craig Gordon leaps acrobatically to claw it away.

Joe Newell curls a deep, free-kick towards the back post and Nohan Kenneh meets it on the stretch, sending the ball across the face of goal.

Lawrence Shankland further endears himself to the visiting fans with a clearance inside the six yard box to deny Elias Melkersen a tap in.

Hibs are wobbling a bit here as Liam Boyce is too strong for Marijan Cabraja as he thuds a header into the turf, but David Marshall is able to grab hold of it without too much fuss.

Lawrence Shankland has the freedom of Easter Road as he pops up wide on the left. The Hearts striker cuts inside and takes aim for the opposite top corner of the net and his shot is deflected off target by the covering Rocky Bushiri.

A huge roar of approval from three stands as Marijan Cabraja thunders into a strong challenge. The Croatian left-back is quickly becoming a firm favourite with Hibs fans.

A lovely fizzing cross from Hibs right-back Chris Cadden. There are two men in green inside the penalty area but neither gambles with a run and a great opportunity is gone.

Hibs break swiftly with goalkeeper rolling the ball out to Marijan Cabraja, who sends Elie Youan scurrying forward with a ball over the top.

The angle is tight and Craig Gordon beats the French striker's shot away at the near post.

First corner of the derby goes Hearts' way. A low delivery from Jorge Grant is repelled but and the visitors can't make anything of the scraps.

Hibs continue to press in attack and Elie Youan gets a toe to a low cross from Chris Cadden to send the ball looping up into the arms of Hearts keeper Craig Gordon.

A smart dummy from Liam Boyce, but his Hearts strike partner Lawrence Shankland is not on the same wavelength.
