Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva: “Fantastic feeling. We knew it’d be tough but I think we deserved the win with the way we started, controlled, scored the goals, pressed them and did not let them create chances.

“The first goal from them took some confidence from us and the start of the second half was our worst moment. They changed their formation, the way they played and they caused us some problems.

“I have to congratulate our players for the reaction when it went to 2-2. It is always special when you win a derby at home.

“If you deliver for Mitro [Aleksandar Mitrovic] he is really strong in those types of situation. We are working with him to improve in other situations."

Among teams Arsenal have faced at least 10 times, they only have a better win ratio against Reading (100%, won 14/14) and Glossop North End (86%, won 12/14).

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson speaking to Sky Sports: "The overriding feeling is we’re gutted. We played really well for spells during the game."

"We knew we had to get some sort of point today. We came here to win and knew that if we played well, we’d have the chance. We've just got to takle the positives hopefully into the next two games."

On scoring his first Premier League goal: "It’s a special feeling, especially with the fans in the away end. It’s a really proud feeling for me."

On Forest signing 16 players this summer: "There are lots of good players coming in and we had to strengthen. You could see today that we played well as a team."

Southampton

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to BBC Sport: "We had a tough start today with a very young group on the pitch. We made a few changes tactically and it took a little way for us to find a way in the game. Against the ball I think it was not so bad but with the ball we lost some balls and that conceded a bit mentally. The way we defended today was on a very high level. Set-pieces were defended well and offensively good. A simple way of turning things around after conceding a goal which was I think the only shot on target from the opponent in the second half. We didn't accept that we don't get anything here. The reaction of the team was fantastic. We knew we could turn things around.

"Che was not training this week until Thursday. He was fresh. He could come on and power himself for 30- minutes. This is good. we need alternatives from the bench. The starters did good but you need someone who goes in at decisive moments.

"You could see at the start we had some respect for playing here better than we can. After the goal we see we have nothing to lose and the guys step up. We played some fantastic football.

"We now have Manchester United and Chelsea, two home games. We have four points and it is a good start. Better than in previous years."

On Armel Bella-Kotchap: "I rested him the first game and wanted to give him a good start in the first game against Leeds. He showed up and did a good job today."

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It's a very quiet, disappointed dressing room. We’ve played well enough to win, certainly in the second half. To go 1-0 up then concede like we did is disappointing.

"But there are loads of positives and I won't be narrow-minded to forget those. It's our first point on the road in the Premier League and a greatly improved performance from when we played Newcastle so we'll definitely take belief from that. There were loads of good individual performances and we showed good mentality in wanting to win the game. You can’t concede like that at this level though as you'll get punished.

"So I've got mixed feelings but I won't lose sight of how proud I am of the way we played. We'll take it on the chin, analyse the goal we let in and get ready for our next games."

Brentford

Brentford forward Ivan Toney: "It’s disappointing. That one hurt. The first 30 minutes we were way off it. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb and we did but then gave the goal away at the end.

"We have to learn from that. I think we were on top in the second half and were all over them but we could have played into our hands more than theirs.

"You have to keep playing and doing what you do best. At times we needed a bit of composure to play round them especially in the last 20 minutes."

Fulham

Fulham matchwinner Aleksandar Mitrovic: "Amazing feeling. I think it was a good derby. Lots of goals, turnovers and in the end we managed to get the win. We made it difficult for ourselves and in the end I managed to get a goal after missing a couple of chances.

"He [David Raya] made it so hard for me today. I missed a lot of chances and lots of ups and downs but I never gave up. I stayed calm and kept believing.

"The manager [Marco Silva] has changed the club, the way we play and the way we believe. We never give up. Today we deserved three points. We are happy to get that first three points and be still undefeated after three games."

Southampton

Southampton goalscorer Che Adams, who was born in Leicester: "It is great to get on the scoresheet and help the boys to three points. I could have got three today so that is what has annoyed me the most.

"Moi [Mohamed Elyounoussi] told me to pass to him but no chance I was doing that.

"What the manager has instilled in us is to never give up and keep believing. We did that today. First half was tough, in tough conditions, but we stuck in there and got the points.

"I have played here many times before. None of my family were here today but I am delighted to score here."

Everton

Everton goalscorer Demarai Gray: "We're disappointed to come away with just one point. We controlled the game and created so many opportunities but we switched off. The positive to take is obviously that we equalised. Last season we might not have come back so we showed charactrer to take a point.

"Performance-wise we were good today but nobody is fully happy with a point. If we keep playing like that, we will win games and we approach each game trying to win."

Eamonn: Vieira proving to be a better Premier League manger than either Lamps or Gerrard so far...

Jon: People thought Gerrard was coming to Villa just as a stopgap for the Liverpool job. He won't be getting anywhere near that job.

Sutton's prediction: 0-2

Arsenal have made a great start to the season, and Gabriel Jesus has made the difference.

There was a lot of hype about his arrival, and he is backing it up - he is not in my Fantasy team, though, so I hope he doesn't score again this time.

I still don't think we should get carried away by what the Gunners are doing, and I still don't think they will challenge for the title this season - but I can understand why their fans are excited.

If you look at the scoreline, Bournemouth got walloped by Manchester City in their last game, but they actually didn't do that much wrong.

They are at home this time and might think this is a game where they can go for it a little bit more. I don't think it will work, but the Cherries will not roll over even if they go behind.

The game came alive towards the end. When Nottingham Forest went ahead they deserved it. Credit to Everton, they got back into it thanks to an incredible assist by Jordan Pickford. The Everton players didn't give the crowd the energy. But 1-1 was a fair result in the end.

Aleksandar Mitrovic the hero and his last gasp goal wins it for Fulham against Brentford.

Crystal Palace collect their first victory of the season with a deserve triumph over Aston Villa.

Steven Gerrard will ask questions about his side's performance and there will be questions asked about him.

For a long time, it looked like this was heading for a dour goalless draw.

Burt Brennan Johnson's first Premier League goal and Demarai Gray's Jordan Pickford-assisted leveller means the points are shared.

Forest will be the happier team, Everton very relieved.

Ralph Hasenhuttl pumps his fists. For the second week running, his Saints have come back to earn points. It was one last weekend, three this. Che Adams with the double. He could have had a treble too, but struck the post late on.
