Another home attack sees Jordan Henderson tear down the right channel quicker than a greyhound out of the traps, collecting a pass from Mo Salah and playing a low cross into the corridor of uncertainty.

Kurt Zouma has to do something. He sticks out a toe and the ball loops onto the Hammers crossbar.

Phew!

Once again, a decent attack in this game is let down by a poor final ball.

This time it is Christian Pulisic, who gets away down the right but sends over a low cross that fails to find a team-mate.

Liverpool have struggled to control the game since Thiago has come off.

Liverpool need a second. Sharpish. There is a growing anxiety at Anfield as we enter the last 20 minutes.

This would have eased a few concerns.

Another Liverpool corner is prodded goalwards by Firmino but Lukasz Fabianski smothers.

The home side cannot turn the ball in and Curtis Jones fires over.
