    Leicester 0-0 Leeds

Leeds looking the likeliest to score at the moment.

A rapid break down the right sees Patrick Bamford hold the ball before slipping in the overlapping Rasmus Kristensen, but the Dane's low cross is just too quick for his arriving team-mates.

Moments later, Whites summer signing Luis Sinisterra has a pop but Foxes keeper Danny Ward collects.

Leeds are complaining at a number of niggly fouls Leicester are giving away near the halfway line that is breaking up their attacking momentum.

Neither side has got their passing game together yet.

Rasmus Kristensen has been a particular culprit in terms of giving the ball away under zero pressure.

Mark: Whatever happens at Fulham, Gerrard is a massively overrated manager. Did well in the SPL, but in the EPL so far out of his depth it’s not funny. If Plan A fails it’s panic stations. Can’t see him lasting the week.

Matt: Making Fulham look like Barcelona in their prime. Get Gerrard out of my club now.

Anon: Gerrard so far out of his depth. Can’t wait for the media to blame the players when he inevitably gets sacked. The guy wouldn’t look like a coach with National Express tattooed on his forehead.

No sign of a scoring chance yet for Patrick Bamford tonight.

But the Leeds skipper, as always, is leading from the front with his endeavour and triggering the away side's press.

When Patrick Bamford is firing on all cylinders, Leeds also tend to be functioning at their peak.

The one-time England striker is struggling to find his goal-den touch after several stop-start months caused by niggling injuries.

"I’m challenging Patrick to continue to grow into the type of striker that we need," said Leeds boss Jesse Marsch.

"I’ve said for a couple of weeks that we think he is a big part of the solution.

"If strikers are not getting chances, that is much more concerning than if they are getting chances and not scoring. He is getting chances in bunches and his talent is so high it is only a matter of time before those start go his way.

"When they do, we could start to see a total change of momentum for him and for us.

"That is the goal - to help him and challenge him to continue to move forward in a positive way, and to support him and let him know that it’s close.

"We believe that, he believes that. Thursday could be a catalyst for that, and for him for the rest of the season."

    Leicester 0-0 Leeds

Both these clubs have the chance to shape their season tonight.

Leicester can't get out of the relegation zone but with a win, followed by another against managerless Wolves on Sunday, would pull them clear of the bottom three.

Leeds have Fulham at home on Sunday and know two wins could take them into the top half. Two defeats and they are also likely to be in the bottom three.

    Leicester 0-0 Leeds

Most of the opening five minutes in Leicester have been played inside the home half.

That won't do anything to ease the tension.

Another attacking free-kick for Leeds sees Brenden Aaronsen and Marc Roca discuss their options.

United States international Aaronsen lumps it over the heads of everyone in the Leicester box.

    HT: Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

    Glenn Murray
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fulham were absolutely outstanding, they played some free flowing football, they created chances and cut through Villa with relative ease. Aston Villa are lucky that it's only 1-0. Martinez was without doubt the only outstanding Villa player in that first half. Steven Gerrard needs more from these players.

Steven Gerrard could be swapping Villa Park for Bowring Park on a full-time basis if his side can't turn this around.

Boos, it seems, from a very unhappy away end.

I can't help but feel that Ollie Watkins is a very very honest centre forward because he got clattered by Tim Ream. He stayed on his feet but didn't get as much contact as he could have done.

Villa barely deserve an equaliser but they almost get one after a fumble by Fulham keeper Bernd Leno.

The German inadvertently decides to liven things up by juggling the ball and Ollie Watkins almost pounces before leno gets back to claw the ball away from his goal.

    Leicester v Leeds (20:15 BST)

Chris Sutton's predictionsImage source, Getty Images

Leicester are without the hugely influential James Maddison, who is suspended after he was booked for his late dive against Crystal Palace.

Maddison will rue that dive, because it could cost his team here.

Leeds have not got the results their play has deserved on a few occasions this season, including their defeat to Arsenal at the weekend when they played with great intensity.

This is where all of that changes, because I am backing them to get a break or two at King Power Stadium.

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch talks his team up in defeat like no other manager - if you listened to him, you would think they had won every game - but I like their playing style and it deserves greater rewards.

    Prediction: 1-4

  17. Vardy's backpublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 20 October 2022

Jamie Vardy has only started one game since the beginning of September - but it was the 4-0 hammering of Nottingham Forest here on 3 October.

With James Maddison suspended, Leicester need a goal threat and whilst the 35-year-old has not scored since last May, there are few more likely to find the net in this Foxes team.

Brilliant play by Fulham. Suddenly it's five on two and that just shows how much they wanted to get up to speed. Massive chance though, it should have been 2-0 just before half time.

What sort of response have Villa got? They need one - quick.

They briefly threaten before Fulham burst forward again at break-neck speed.

It's five on two! Fulham go left to Neeskens Kebano, but the angle is tight and Emi Martinez comes to Villa's rescue again.

    Big chance.

Martinez palms the ball out to the edge of the area. Reed's touch had to be perfect and it was. He got it out of his right foot, back across Martinez and into the bottom right corner for a very very deserved 1-0 Fulham lead.
