    Aleksandar Mitrovic

And from nowhere, Fulham are level.

Andreas Perreira plays a left-wing corner towards the near post, where Aleksandar Mitrovic gets away from his marker Luke Ayling to nod a deft header past Illan Meslier.

Too easy that for the visitors, and that's a ninth goal from 12 Premier League games this season for the Serbia striker.

    Nothing is dead for Villa.

There is always someone there for second balls; it is fantastic.

That's how quickly Arsenal can attack. Great ball from Odegaard who picks out Jesus. He send the Southampton players diving and his shot just skims the outside of the post.

    Southampton 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has a chance to get on the scoresheet as he's picked out by Martin Odegaard after Saints lost the ball in midfield but Jesus hits the side-netting.

Southampton need to move the Arsenal players around. They are too comfortable. We need to see more explosive play from the Saints.

Nice little spell of possession from Southampton but neither side has had a proper chance since the goal.

  7. A crazy 20 minutespublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 23 October 2022

    Wolves 0-2 Leicester

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Molineux

Two shots for Leicester, two on target, two in the back of the net. Wolves get hit again and it already looks an uphill task after some clinical finishing.

Harvey Barnes doubles the visitors' lead but that does not tell the whole story.

Wolves have scored the lowest amount of goals in the Premier League with only five in 11 games but on this evidence you have to wonder why they've failed to score so few.

After only 17 minutes they had already had nine attempts at goal. Among those, Diego Costa and Matheus Nunes had shots saved, Costa, Hugo Bueno and Daniel Podence had efforts blocked and Joao Moutinho and Max Kilman have narrowly missed the target with attempts.

"Going down with the Forest," is the taunting chant from the Leicester fans who, like the rest of us, can barely believe the scoreline.

What a crazy opening 20 minutes.

    Aston Villa 3-0 Brentford

Neat backheel by Danny Ings to give the ball back to Emiliano Buendia on the edge of the box and Villa's Argentine midfielder sees a tame effort clip the side-netting.

Diego Costa bashing defenders around, just like the old days. It's a clear foul on Wout Faes but no further punishment.

    Leeds 1-0 Fulham

    Phil Dawkes
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

This place has just had the roof blown off it!

Leeds needed an early lift, the home fans have been near demanding it, and Rodrigo has answered. His was the simplest of finishes, nodding in a looping ball after Jack Harrison's effort was blocked.

Jesse Marsch's selection of the Spaniard justified, foundations set. Now can Leeds build on it, or will Fulham come back strong?

    Wolves 0-2 Leicester

This result would lift Leicester out of the relegation zone, and put Wolves further into trouble.

It could be 3-0 as Wolves keeper Jose Sa takes a ridiculous risk with Patson Daka on the scene, but he just gets away with it.

Xhaka is just on the edges of Ward-Prowse. Martinelli is pinning back the full back and Elyounoussi as well. So there is plenty of space for Xhaka to get on the ball at the moment. He can pick a pass or score himself as we have already seen.

  13. goal

    Rodrigo

Leeds carve open a chance for Jack Harrison in the right side of the box, with Brenden Aaronson slipping it across to the winger.

His shot loops up off a desperate lunge from a Fulham defender and Rodrigo pops up at the far post to nod the ball in from close range. Elland Road erupts.

    Clinical.

Wolves have had most of the chances... and Leicester lead 2-0.

Harvey Barnes beats Jonny on the wing and plays a one-two with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, before sweeping the ball past Jose Sa.

    Southampton 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal have never lost a game when Granit Xhaka has scored before today (P17 W15 D2).

With four goals in all competitions, this is Xhaka's joint best goalscoring season for Arsenal, while he's scored in back-to-back appearances for just the second time for the Gunners (also in September 2016).
