Zahi: Not a Newcastle fan but honestly thought they were hard done by with officials tonight. A clear penalty and an offside goal

Very very good defending there to deny Joelinton passing to Willock who would have had a tap in.

I love Spurs, but we haven’t been at the races this season. Our performances do not reflect our league position. It’s a shocker we’re 3rd. The only stand out player this season has been Kane, remove him & his goals, we’d be fighting relegation.

    Matt

Same problem for Conte. When and how to unleash the undoubted Spurs attacking brilliance. Conte's counter is holding them back. They will kill most teams if let loose.

    Mark, Cambridge

Any manager that persists with Emerson Royal for that long should not be managing a Premier League team... Conte out !!!!

Spurs are very much in this. Harry Kane plays a nutmeg pass to Ivan Perisic, whose first-time shot is saved by Nick Pope.

    Spurs 1-2 Newcastle

Fabian Schar almost scores a fine goal on his 100th Premier League appearance but it's saved by Hugo Lloris.

And Callum Wilson tries to block Lloris as he kicks the ball out - and gets booked.

Oliver Skipp is booked for that foul on Joe Willock... and immediately substituted for Lucas Moura.

Brilliant play by Joelinton to run back and stop Rodrigo Bentancur's counter-attack.

Oliver Skipp leaves Joe Willock on the turf with a tackle but the referee lets play go on. Newcastle's attack eventually breaks down.

Son Heung-min whips in a corner. Harry Kane's header hits his own team-mate and then he lashes a rebound over the bar.

But it wouldn't have counted. The officials say Son's corner went behind before it came into the box.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

Ivan Perisic comes on for Ryan Sessegnon. I suspect that was going to happen anyway but the yellow card probably made that decision easier.

Oliver Camp: I'm a Spurs fan. That clearly touched Sánchez. Ball deviates. And it wasn't a foul on Hugo in the first half, so I think we can count ourselves a bit lucky.

If Wilson gets more on it with his right foot, it would have been a goal. It just glances the outside of his left foot. He is unlucky.

Oh and Kane is offside. Ball clearly changed direction. What is the point when every week the teams are fighting officials for basic decisions?

Newcastle almost reestablish that two-goal lead as Joe Willock cuts in from the left and curls a cross-shot in which almost finds Callum Wilson.
