  1. 'We made them suffer'published at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Man City 2-1 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham's Andreas Pereira, speaking to BBC Sport: "We are frustrated we couldn't get the point but at the same time very proud of the team, we came here and made them suffer.

"The penalty was big pressure. I tried to not overthink it.

"It is difficult to pressure, even a team with 10 men. They looked like they were still with 11 because they have great players. It was difficult and unlucky.

"We are making progress for sure and we have to look forward. This game is finished now."

  2. 'We were the better side'published at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Leeds 4-3 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth caretaker manager Gary O'Neil, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It is difficult. If I look at it factually, I can stand here and tell you we were the better team. We were in complete control. The boys were excellent for large parts but the underlying story is that we don't manage certain moments on the pitch that are unacceptable at this level. You are going to get punished every time. You can play as well as you want and stick to the game plan as well as you want. If you can't defend a basic ball hung up to your back post and you can't lock down a counter-attack it is going to be tough and we get punished.

"We need to improve how the boys manage the moments at the end. They are well aware of it. I have spoken to them. You just have to be better than that at this level. The corner goal is unacceptable. The fourth one is probably worse. To not lock down after a corner and allow their boy to run that far is criminal. I would love to be able to tell you the resulted matched how well the boys did because we should go in 4-1 up at half-time. It shouldn't be me having to stand here telling you that. You can see it. We will work with the boys, they will bounce back. they did it today, to bounce back from the penalty after a throwaway defeat shows great character.

"When I took caretaker charge I said we were good enough to be competitive in every game. We have shown that. The boys have given me everything. I am just bitterly disappointed that we don't have more points than we do over the 10 games. We will prepare for next week and the boys will be ready to go again. I love being a football manager. Where that will be I do not know. I will speak to the people above and if it is me I will prepare for Everton."

  3. 'We didn't defend well enough'published at 18:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Wolves 2-3 Brentford

    Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves interim manager Steve Davis speaking to Match of the Day: "I was just hoping they would be able to keep their concentration for the second half down to ten men and against good side. We spoke at half-time about being compact and I thought we did it well, restricted them to minimum chances.

"I didn't think we defended particularly well when we got the third and the other two as well. I thought the defending was basic stuff and we didn't quite get that right.

"Effort wise, fight wise, some quality in the game we showed: I was pleased with those aspects but today we didn't defend well enough."

On Nelson Semedo's red card: "[Kaoru Mitoma was] probably too wide [to have a chance]. He's still got a lot to do. He's not through in the centre of the pitch where he's got an obvious chance of scoring so I think it's a bit half but we have to take it."

On the battle ahead: "It won't be any different I think with the current group. We've showed last week and this week so we've got to build on that and be better in the situations where we have got to sure up. We talked a lot about connecting better from front to back, we've got to be campact and hard to beat and I think today we didn't get that right."

  4. 'Better than Chelsea' - De Zerbipublished at 18:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Wolves 2-3 Brighton

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Molineux

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi has just been asked whether today's win at Wolves was better than last week's hammering of Chelsea.

    He says it was.

"In terms of quality of play, yes, for sure," he said.

"I enjoyed today, we are used to speaking about results but I want to enjoy my work."

  5. 'One of the best experiences here'published at 18:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Man City 2-1 Fulham

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to Sky Sports: "It is good, he took the penalty and scored it. Two different games. 11 v 11 was good, to play 65 minutes with 10 men against Fulham is not easy.

"It was really, really good, one of the best experiences we have had here. Great to see our people together.

"After 15 minutes in the first half we were really, really good. They missed Mitrovic of course, but then the way we played with 10 men was really amazing. Everyone played in the right certain amount of angry and disappointment for many reason and then we were there.

"Ten versus 11 is always difficult. All the players are really, really good and that makes a lot for us. It was so important to get that result.

On the red card: "He is an exceptional player and human being but has to learn. Better to score goals and avoid the penalty. It is learning what happened in Anfield and today.

"You have to be all the time focused. Score a goal, OK, but have to play 11 against 11."

Soaking up the win at the end: "There are moments you have to do it. Not every day you make all around with the people but when you score in the 95th minute, I said to the players look at the faces of the crowd, you made them happy and we have to live it.

"We live today here for the way we played in the 90 minutes, the way we won. That remains, you have to live it. To see everyone all together was really, really nice."

  6. 'By far the better team in the first half'published at 18:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Brentford

    Nottingham Forest

More from Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper to BBC MOTD: "We were excellent for 35 minutes at the start and by far the better team. Tactically we were really good and should have been 1-0 up before we scored.

"We made some unforced errors at the end of the first half and including the decision for the penalty which went against us. The second half was pretty even. I'm disappointed with the second goal but we kept going and managed to get something out of it.

"My feeling is that if that's a penalty then there should be four in the game. If he has to look at the screen for ours then he should for the other three. All of those things went against us today, there's no doubt about that. I will look at everything. The performance was very good in the first half, nip and tuck in the second half and we showed great spirit at the end.

"I'm pleased [Morgan Gibbs-White] got his goal and was the best player on the pitch for me. We have worked hard with him and I'm pleased he's delivered that performance and got his goal.

"With all that's gone on today I have to take a step back and look at the overall performance.

"There's loads of things to talk about in the game but I have to let the stuff that went against us go personally and leave that to others. A lot from the game to digest.

"Some really good bits of play, disappointed we only had a 1-0 lead but then things out of our control went against us and we showed a great fighting spirit to get something out of the game."

  7. 'Tough but has to make us grow'published at 18:24 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Man City 2-1 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was cruel for us. Hard to take. Everyone is down now in the dressing room but it shows our commitment and our ambition to come here and embrace this great challenge against City. It is tough but just has to make us more mature and grow.

"They started better than us, I like to see our team start better on the ball. Off the ball we have to do better, to be a bit more brave and play with more confidence as well because we have the quality to do that.

"We equalised and after their red card the game was more balanced. They didn't create much apart from a set piece. The second half the plan was to be even more brave on the ball and improve our final decision-making.

"Of course it was for us tough. We just had one attacking player on the bench and when you don't have attacking players to refresh at the Etihad to keep pressing them. With different solutions on the bench the game could have been completely different in the second half."

  8. 'Everyone made a contribution'published at 18:21 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Man City 2-1 Fulham

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: "When you play 65 minutes with 10 v 11 it is a different kind of win.

"We played a fantastic game for 90-95 minutes. We conceded one shot on target, of course they missed Mitrovic but the way we played was outstanding in all departments.

"Everyone runs, everyone made the contribution. Big compliment to the team."

On red card: "He has to learn. It can happen in football and they score a goal, but you have to play 11 v 11. Hopefully he can learn for the future. He is an exceptional player and all that he has given to us these years is amazing, but he has to learn to control the emotions and control the actions. I am pretty sure he will learn."

On Haaland penalty: "He hit the penalty. He hit strong. Their goalkeeper is an incredible penalty saver but at the end the coin came to our side."

  9. 'We feel hard done by'published at 18:21 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    FT: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Brentford

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper speaking to Sky Sports: "We played well for 30 minutes, we were more than good for the lead. I didn't like us for the last 10 minutes of the first half - we made some unforced errors which were self inflicted.

"In terms of the penalty if the referee has given one he has to give four, we feel the one on [Emmanuel] Dennis in the first half and then [Ryan] Yates is worse than the one given against us and the one on Morgan [Gibbs-White] in the second half as well. We feel hard done by and it's pretty plain to see. The system let the referee down more than a little bit. We're feeling that luck was against us but the goals we conceded as well. Great to show heart in the end and get something out of the game but I have mixed feelings about the game today and fighting hard to bite my tongue."

On Brentford's penalty: "I don't think that was a penalty and I spoke to the referee and he knew Dean [Henderson] had touched ball. If he's got to look at screen for that one he's got to look at three others. He doesn't have to overturn it, he can stand by his decision.

"First 35 minutes we were good, by far the better team in terms of tactics and looking like we'd score. I liked what I saw. Second half was a bit nip and tuck, I can't think of Dean making any saves really. We were much better than last week and as good as we've been for a while with the ball. I've got mixed feelings and I will always look at ourselves first before I blame decisions so I want to look at how we improve and look at good things we did."

On Morgan-Gibbs-White: "He was excellent, real threat, pleased he scored because in the end players who play there have to have goal involvement and also assists and goals. Brilliant individual goal, good move so we're pleased with that and come up with the goods. he was probably best player on the pitch today.

"We were the better team and we feel we have been let down so it would have been hard to walk off with nothing. Fair play the players kept going, never once have I really questioned the spirit and willingness to do well, except maybe against Arsenal a bit. We kept going today and that was pleasing to see."

You're always gleeful when you score a goal but when you score an absolutely worldie like that one! Tielemans' smile is lighting up Goodison Park. What a hit that is! He knew exactly what he has to do, he was at an angle.

I think that's pure clean, straight over the goalkeeper. No chance. What a hit that is. You have to be honest, it's deserved for Leicester.

Leicester get the goal their first half has deserved.

Coady and Tarkowski both leave that ball there. It runs through to Daka and he could easily have scored there. They shouldn't have left it, if you're not sure just clear it.
