    FT: Newcastle 0-0 Leeds

Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Great spirit Leeds have shown. They've really dug in and worked for each other and that will help them a lot in the season.

It will be two points dropped for Newcastle in their eyes. They should have won that second half.

Leeds ran out of steam and it was one way traffic in that second half. Newcastle will be very disappointed.

I've got to say, the referee spoilt the game and that's a shame. It's definitely points dropped for Newcastle because Leeds have not really done anything for the last hour of that football match.

    Man City 1-1 Everton

Kevin de Bruyne's free-kick is only half-cleared. City come back again and De Bruyne's chipped ball in is headed behind for a corner.

From the corner, an unmarked Rodri completely misses the ball!!!

Phil Foden almost sneaks through in the box as the noise around the stadium goes up but Seamus Coleman, on as a substitute, makes a crucial last-ditch tackle. He's clapped on the back by his team-mates.

    FT: Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

No side has conceded more than the 36 goals of Bournemouth.

The Cherries have also failed to score in nine of their 17 games. More than any other team.

Not the kind of stats a team who want to stay in this division want next to their name.

Newcastle haven't capitalised on Leeds' weakness but you've got to give Leeds a pat on the back. For me, it's two points that Newcastle have lost.

One last chance for Newcastle? The ball comes to Bruno Guimaraes inside the box, he is crowded out and falls to the ground. There are some half-hearted appeals for a penalty but nothing is given.

Newcastle fans are booing as they feel Illan Meslier is timewasting now and tempers are starting to flare on the pitch.

Bournemouth end the year with boos from their own fans. They have work to do. That January window will be key.
