Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, speaking to Match of the Day: "There is a massive importance to every game, we were determined to keep our unbeaten start going - the players gave everything and never gave up, it was a great goal from Allan [Saint-Maximin] at the end.
"We chased the game very well, Wolves are a genuine counter-attacking threat, we had to control that and we were very effective in the second half. Eventually that paid off and I thought we deserved it."
On Saint-Maximin's goal: "The ball flips up in the air and I wasn't sure what he was going to do - it is a truly incredible finish, technically to control that and keep it down.
"Every game you can lose if you are not where you need to be. It took the second half to really do that, and that is why I am pleased the growth in the team continues."
On why Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimares did not feature: "Alex is a work permit issue, we are waiting for that to come through, Bruno has a slight injury and will hopefully only be out for a couple of games."

Nottingham Forest have only conceded seven goals in their past 16 league games at the City Ground, keeping 10 clean sheets.
They are vying to win their opening two home league games in a top-flight season for the first time since 1984.
However, Steve Cooper's side have allowed their opponents to take 61 shots this season, at least 14 more than any other top-flight side, and Dean Henderson has made 18 saves, more than any other goalkeeper before this weekend.
A goal for 21-year-old Brennan Johnson would see him become the youngest player to score in back-to-back Premier League appearances for Forest, breaking the record set by Roy Keane in 1992.
Taiwo Awoniyi can become the second player to score in both of Forest's opening two home matches of a Premier League season, emulating Stan Collymore in 1994-95.

They are serious players Forest are bringing in, they have done fantastic business. Fair play to the owner. Sometimes you can buy too many players but Forest have brought in the right players. Credit to Steve Cooper and the owner.

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's a great three points. The Premier League is tough at the moment. There's very little between the teams, games are really tight and that's the way it was today.
"We scored with a deflection but we were much better in the second which helped. Any win away from home is a really good result.
"We changed the formation which helped. Formations help but it's the players' attitude. They know we've been doing really well over the last couple of years and we want to continue that - we showed that willingness today.
"I thought Said [Benrahma] made a difference. He had a good pre-season but Said sometimes makes good decisions and sometimes doesn't, which can frustrate me as a manager.
"But he came on and turned the game for us in many ways. We're trying to piece together a new team but I thought it was the players who know how we've played in recent years that dug deep when we got the goal and helped us get the three points on the road which is really important.
"We've had a really good two-and-a-half years so any external voices should be talking about that."

MS: It's all well and good saying Gerrard is under pressure, but who would we get in who would be any better right now? Sean Dyche? Us Villa fans don't want that old Burnley style. Not sure where we go from here, could be in deeper trouble by end of September.

Wolves
Wolves boss Bruno Lage, speaking to Sky Sports: "We did a good game, the way we started and wanted to press. First half we controlled everything, especially the way Newcastle play. The way they scored the goal at the end of the game, and to be honest we deserved more the three points - it is hard. Two decisions in VAR was against us, and it is just one point.
"I will say maybe 90% of the people after watching the tackle think it is a red card - I can see the leg of Pedro Neto, it should be a red card in my opinion. Why in the other situation the referee comes and takes a decision about the goal, why not this one?"

Rob: Why spend £60 million on Richarlison and not play him? Mind boggles.

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte to Sky Sports: "We prepare for games in the same way. You have to respect every team.
"We know Nottingham Forest started the season very well and are a strong team.
"There will be a lot of noise in the ground and for sure, we have to be prepared for that atmosphere."

Aston Villa
Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's a tough one to take. The fans were excellent and stuck behind us the whole game, but it just didn't go our way. We have to keep our heads up.
"We've got another important game on Wednesday so the only thing we can do is regroup on the training pitch and try to get a victory on Wednesday.
"It's tough times but I'm sure we'll get through this.
"We didn't really test their keeper with our shots but they had a freak goal with a big deflection from me, but there's nothing we can do but move on.
"I felt we dominated in the first half but things just didn't go our way. We didn't create enough clear-cut chances."

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper to Sky Sports on what he expects from Morgan Gibbs-White: "To be himself. He's a talented boy. I've worked with him before. We're delighted he's here and he gives us good varity.
"The other change was forced on us as Orel Mangala picked up an injury during the week.
"If we do our bit on the pitch, [the home crowd] can be a real help for us. It has to be a big focus of ours.
"There's been an amazing atmsophere for a long while now so it's good it's being shown on the big stage. We need to bottle that up and not lose it because it can help us."

Wolves
Wolves' Ruben Neves was not happy with Fabian Schar's tackle on Pedro Neto. He told Match of the Day: "A lot of physicality out there, really hard for us, we worked so hard for the three points.
"The ref ruled it out [Wolves' second goal] maybe on the screen he saw Neto was too strong for their defender, that is football, hard to take for us."
On Schar's tackle: "Everyone saw it - I truly can't believe, I saw the images already when I went to the dressing room because Neto's leg was scratched from leg to ankle - he was really lucky to be fit after that challenge.
"Like I said to the ref, there is no chance of him to not go to the screen and watch the images because he almost broke the leg - I spoke to Schar as well, he said it was not on purpose, of course it was not, but when it is so dangerous, someone needs to see it.
"On our second goal, Neto just put his body in front of the defender, on that tackle there is no excuse for the Newcastle player to be still on the pitch, it was really, really dangerous."

The volume [of Forest's recruitment] feels like it is a lot but if the team's playing well then it's the right sort of recruitment.
If it helps them stay in the league then it's the right thing but I doubt many clubs want to be in the position where the player turnover is so high, that just because of the league you're in, you have to bring in this many people just to be competitive.
If they were still in the Championship, they'd still have had to address 15 players leaving but you can see why these players are coming in. They are adding quality to the team.
But when you get to the stage that your longest serving player is the one you brought in on 1 July, then it's a funny situation to be in if things don't go as you'd hope.
That's when you need the familiar faces and you want to understand how it feels to play with someone wen things are good and bad.
There's a lot to be said about strength in continuity, but for Forest, at the moment these players haven't played much together and they're now doing so in a high pressured environment.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice said: "Relief, massive relief. Like I said last week, the expectations of this club now are that we can't start a Premier League season losing three games.
"Especially with the squad that we have. You could sense it today, even in the warm-up, the way we were talking, we really wanted it today. We put our bodies on the line, ran more and we were more productive with the ball."
On switching formation in the second half: "You always have to adapt in games and we can always flip between a four and five at the back.
"Five wasn't working in the first half but we switched it after half-time and got on the ball more to create more chances.
"We've missed so many chances this season and you start thinking 'when is this goal going to come?' but we could hear the fans erupt when we scored and there was relief at getting over the line.
"We know what we can achieve. It's down to us on the pitch. We played for the badge today. The fans haven't been happy recently and they've been right, but they can go home with a smile on their face today."

Antonio Conte says Tottenham's hierarchy know he will need two players for every role as he prepares for a stage of the season where he feels the true competitors will become known.
"I was talking also with (managing director) Fabio Paratici about this difficulty," said Conte. "To play one game every seven days is one thing. To play many games every three days is totally different.
"For many situations to play every three days, for injuries, because players start to be tired and you have to make rotations, it's the right moment to understand if your squad's depth is good, is the depth right and quality right?"
Conte's stance means he is keen to recruit if fringe players such as Harry Winks, Sergio Reguilon or Bryan Gil depart in order to play regular football.
"For sure if there are players that go out, then we need players to come in," Conte added. "The club know very well the importance for me to have a squad with a couple of players in every role.
"For sure we want to make happy every single player but at the same time we have to make the right evaluation for our club, for our team so we'll see what happens.
"There are players that are in the plan and other players we want to try to give them the possibility to play more regularly and to take more time to play."

Allan Saint-Maximin on his goal, speaking to Sky Sports: "We work hard in training, I try to put more things in my game and I practice a lot with the trainer to help me hit that volley. I am really happy to score that goal because it was important for us to draw or try to win the game.
"I don't think about myself, I just think about my team - I am really happy to draw the game. I have a lot of people around me to kick me and put me out of the game, so I am very happy to score. I am really proud to be part of that team."
