    Dundee manager Gary Bowyer tells BBC Scotland: "Very disappointing, we cam here and had a wonderful start.

    "The first [for Ayr] goal rocked us a little bit and knocked us off our stride, it looks like he [Akinyemi] puts it in of his hand or his arm.

    "Second half i have no complaints though, apologies to the travelling Dundee fans.

    After Dundee went ahead through Zak Rudden in the opening stages, Dipo Akinyemi levelled things up before the interval.

    Dundee had the better of the start of the second half but Ayr scored two goals in the space of five minutes, courtesy of Jordan Houston and Akinyemi again, to secure all three points.

    No prizes are handed out in August, but Ayr United are four points clear.
