Dundee manager Gary Bowyer tells BBC Scotland: "Very disappointing, we cam here and had a wonderful start.
"The first [for Ayr] goal rocked us a little bit and knocked us off our stride, it looks like he [Akinyemi] puts it in of his hand or his arm.
"Second half i have no complaints though, apologies to the travelling Dundee fans.

Ayr United manager Lee Bullen tells BBC Scotland: "Absolutely ecstatic because let's get it right if you finish above Dundee in this league you'll be right up there.
"They'll be there or thereabouts at the top of the table at the end of the season.
"They have fantastic players and a fantastic manager but we match them tonight.
"It's very difficult to pick a man of the match tonight!"

After Dundee went ahead through Zak Rudden in the opening stages, Dipo Akinyemi levelled things up before the interval.
Dundee had the better of the start of the second half but Ayr scored two goals in the space of five minutes, courtesy of Jordan Houston and Akinyemi again, to secure all three points.
No prizes are handed out in August, but Ayr United are four points clear.

Akinyemi plucks the ball out of the air in the centre of the box, turns his man with a couple of neat touches, and absolutely rockets the ball with his left foot right into the top corner.
Simply sensational striker play.

Jordan Houston breaks forward and bounces the ball off of Dipo Akinyemi, takes a touch out of his feet and sends a low, driving, left-footed shot into the bottom corner.
That's his first ever senior goal. What a time to get it potentially.

Josh Mulligan gets to the byeline and cuts it back to Zak Rudden, whose first-time shot is well dealt with by Charlie Albinson.
The Aye keeper has been exceptionally busy in the second half.
